Smog comes from various sources, such as vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, construction dust, garbage burning, and even volcanic eruptions. Smog weather is usually caused by a mixture of multiple pollution sources. In order to control the smog, several provinces and cities centered on Beijing have issued what can be called the most stringent shutdown orders in history. In other words, from November this year to March 2018, or even a few months after the Spring Festival, various construction projects are not allowed to start in cities in these areas.
Extended information:
There are three factors in the formation of haze:
First, the physical source of particulate dust. my country has the largest Loess Plateau area in the world, and its soil texture is most prone to generating granular dust particles.
The second is the dust caused by poor movement. For example, if the mud in the flowerbeds in the middle of the road or on the street curbs flows onto the road after it rains or is splashed with water, it will dry up for an hour and be turned around by the wheels, causing a large amount of dust. Even if these particulate matter falls back to the ground, it will cause dust. Cars kept passing by and were flung over the city again.
The third is that the dust source and movement difference process are concentrated within a certain spatial range, and the particles eventually condense with water molecules to form haze. At present, there are quite abundant stocks of the three elements of haze structure in more than 350 cities in the Loess Plateau region of my country.
All provinces and cities implement the "strictest order":
Not long ago, Shanxi Province issued regulations that construction units should regard dust pollution prevention and control objectives as an important part of signing contracts, and dust pollution Prevention and control fees are included in the project budget and allocated in a timely manner, and safe and civilized construction fees are calculated in full.
In October, smog-prone Beijing issued an emergency plan that stipulated that during a red alert, earthworks and building demolition should be stopped at construction sites, and all dust-producing vehicles transporting slag, sand and gravel should be stopped.
Prior to this, Hebei, the smog-stricken area, also issued the "15 Measures for the Control of Dust from Construction Construction in Hebei Province", which is known as the "most stringent order in history."
“Relevant departments to control dust pollution should strengthen cooperation. For example, the environmental protection, housing construction, urban management, sanitation and other departments have sent representatives to form a joint law enforcement team to inspect all construction sites and solve problems immediately if they are found.” Wang Ancai, a member of the Party Leadership Group of Taiyuan Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, said.
