The most peculiar building of Zhengjue Temple in Dunhua, the Guanyin Hall with six corners, six pavilions and six doors, is unique in China.

Not long ago, my friends and I went to Dunhua City, Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province. Although Dunhua City is the largest county-level city in Jilin Province, it is rich in tourism resources, but most of them are not well-known. Except Liu Ding, the only national 5A tourist attraction, other scenic spots are almost unheard of. Ask local people where to have fun, and almost all recommend Liu Ding, which is a Buddhist cultural tourist area.

Liudingshan is located on the south bank of Mudanjiang, about 3 kilometers south of Dunhua. The scenic spot is quite large, and the core landscape is Zhengjue Temple and Jinding Buddha, an ancient temple in Northeast China. I am no stranger to temples. Almost every time I go to a strange place, I will find one or two local temples to visit. I am not a believer, but I like the buildings in temples, especially those ancient temples with a long history.

Zhengjue Temple in Liudingshan covers an area of about 135 mu, with a considerable scale. In particular, buildings covered with carved beams and painted buildings and yellow glazed tiles are magnificent, giving people a feeling of entering the palace. Zhengjue Temple is mainly composed of five halls: Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Guanyin Hall and Luohan Hall. The five halls are built along the central axis of the mountain, with magnificent momentum.

Among the five great halls, the most magnificent is the Hall of Ursa Major. The whole building 1000 square meters, 26 meters high, is magnificent. The most exquisite, elegant and striking thing is not it, but the "guanyin temple" behind it, that is, the building with the shape of "six corners, six pavilions and six doors" that I saw before my eyes. Just a glance left a deep impression on my mind.

Kannonji has a unique style. According to the personnel of the scenic spot, it is the only one in China and even in the world, and it can be called "unparalleled Kannonji". There is a statue of Guanyin with six dharma bodies, thousands of hands and thousands of eyes in the temple, which is unique in the history of Buddhism. Kannonji is also the place with the most incense in this temple, and many local people come here for it.

When the drone rises, you can see a panoramic view of Kannonji. Although the whole building is small, it looks very delicate, like a work of art. The main building is surrounded by hexagonal pavilions with double eaves, like a lotus flower, which is obviously different from the surrounding buildings. It is the most unique building in Kannonji.

Guanyin Hall is located between Daxiong Hall and Luohan Hall. Standing in Luohantang, although it is a modern building, the buildings with carved beams and painted buildings reveal an antique atmosphere everywhere, which is very suitable for taking photos of ancient costumes.

This hexagonal pavilion building, no matter from which angle, sees almost the same scenery, which is also its uniqueness. I wonder who designed and built it in those years. Admirable.

I don't know, when you visited Dunhua, have you ever been to or heard of Zhengjue Temple in Liu Ding? What's your impression of Kannonji in the temple? If you had the chance, would you visit here? Welcome to leave a comment.
