Basic information about Liang Qichao’s tomb
The tomb of Liang Qichao is located in the Ginkgo Pine and Cypress Area northeast of the East Ring Road of the Beijing Botanical Garden. The total area of the cemetery is 1.8 hectares. The cemetery is divided into east and west parts: the east is the cemetery and the west is the attached woodland. The cemetery is backed by the Western Mountain and faces south. It is higher in the north and lower in the south, covering an area of 4,300 square meters. Surrounded by low stone walls, the cemetery is filled with pines and cypresses.
The cemetery was designed by Liang Sicheng, the son of Liang Qichao, a famous Chinese architect, so that his family can enjoy the atmosphere of full harmony between environment and people that he always advocated. Walking in it feels like entering a cemetery. patio.
It is not entirely accurate to say that it is Liang Qichao's tomb. It should be the Liang Qichao family cemetery. Liang Qichao, his two wives, his brother Liang Qichao and his three sons are all buried here.
