Feng Shui in Chaji Village
Speaking of the ancient town of Chaji, is anyone unfamiliar? Chaji Ancient Town is located in Jingxian County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. It is the ancestral home of the great warrior Jin Yong. Although Chaji village has gone through a hundred years of ups and downs, it no longer has its former style, but there are still 15 bridges and 10 ancestral temples with gilded cornices and carved beams and painted buildings. It is not difficult to imagine the former style of Chaji Village.
Visit the ancient town, starting from the Fortune Bridge at the entrance of the village. This flat arch stone bridge was built in the middle of Ming Dynasty. The arch is about five meters long and two meters wide. The ancient bridge is often used as the lock key of the water outlet. The zhaobi on the bridge is like a sluice, which means "water and money don't go away". From the "purple gas coming from the east" on the zhaobi, we can see the desire and hope of Chaji people for talents.
Three streams, Cenxi, Xu Xi and Xishi, meander through the village. Especially this year, the water is relatively large, and the water in the streams is very rich and clear. Get up early and stroll along the banks of the Xu Xi River, which is the most interesting part of the ancient town of Chaji. To tell the truth, it's a little cold to get up early. Those who dare to come out to bask in the sun are warriors. Breakfast was settled in this old tofu shop. There was only soybean milk and tofu brain for breakfast, and nothing else. But the old house in front of and behind the store is very distinctive, with hardworking and kind grandfathers and grandma Cha.
Getting up early is already scorching sun. At this time, the scenic spot was obviously affected by the epidemic, and there were almost no tourists. Small villages and towns show the truest side and my favorite side.
Along the Xu Xi all the way upstream, the stream is full of villagers who get up early to wash clothes. Many ancient towns have the saying that "upstream enters the village and downstream leaves the village", and Chaji ancient town is no exception.
Four aunts crowded into a Kobashiguchi to wash clothes, where there was little shade. An aunt on the bridge seems to be late. Seeing that bridge opening was occupied, she shook her head and continued to look for shade.
A peasant woman walked past the gate of the ancient ancestral temple with a hoe on her shoulder and happily started her day's work.
Isn't this a bit exaggerated? The couple moved the heavy cabinets to the bottom of the river. Looks like this needs a thorough cleaning.
There are many small bridges in the ancient town of Chaji. This is a famous Tiansheng Bridge, which was built during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. There is a brief introduction on the wall by the stream. This bridge was built by two brothers to fight with their mother for filial piety. From the bottom of the bridge, it is actually two bridges. The bridge deck is connected into a whole, which means that the brotherhood is connected, and it is a vivid embodiment of filial piety and traditional virtues.
This is the deck of Tiansheng Bridge, the widest and flattest bridge in the ancient town. On the other side of the bridge is an old house with two doors open. Does it still live in the offspring of two brothers? If so, it is really a story.
There are lively scenes of washing clothes everywhere, and the stream has a completely different position in the hearts of villagers. Here, you can wash clothes, vegetables and dishes, just like family. I believe that what Chaji people who walked out of the ancient town miss most is this flowing stream.
This town is not big. If you keep walking, you will reach the center of the ancient town. There is a Red Mansion Bridge, dubbed by tourists as "the curtain of dreams", which is a famous net red bridge. Honglou Bridge This bridge is a high arch bridge, which was built in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. It is 8m long, 5m wide and10m high. Named after a small two-story red building built in the southwest, many people will take it for granted that the pavilion by the stream is the red building. The innkeeper specially told me that the small building in the picture was not the red building of that year.
Strolling on the stone steps is also a good place for villagers to wash clothes early. During the peak season, it will be occupied by students from the Academy of Fine Arts and painters who sketch. Green vines are wrapped around the weather-beaten stone bridge, and the vines on both sides of the bridge seem to be "a curtain of dreams".
There is also a Gong Hong Temple next to Xu Xi, with a brief introduction in front. Gong Hong Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty and expanded in the early Qing Dynasty to commemorate Cha Hongyuan, the fifth ancestor of ZTE. Backed by Censhan Mountain and facing Xuxihe River, it is a masterpiece of combining landscape and nature, which has the potential to swallow water.
Xu Xi made a sharp turn here, so I envy this small pavilion. The museum has an elegant name called "Wang Xi Pavilion". From the sign, there are snacks and tea. I wonder if it is open now?
Continuing along Xu Xi, several villagers are cleaning up a landslide site. It seems that the retaining wall of this house collapsed because of the rapid flow of water.
On the shore of Xu Xi, we will see many such tourist maps, and we are walking towards Zhenkou Bridge in the upper reaches of the stream.
Is this unique wooden bridge Zhenkou Bridge? I don't think so. Take a picture and move on. The farther upstream, the fewer pedestrians you see. There are only gurgling streams and unscrupulous cicadas in my ears.
Zhenkou Bridge has finally arrived, and the main route of Chaji Ancient Town Scenic Area has been completed. Then we turn right to see the "Crazy Well" and the Gil Temple.
