Cultivation methods and precautions for Asparagus bamboo

1. Temperature environment

The most suitable growth temperature for asparagus is around 20°C. In winter, the temperature must be above 10°C. If the temperature is too low, freezing damage may occur. When the weather is too cold in winter, you can put a layer of plastic film on the outside of the potted plants to keep them warm.

In addition, the higher the air humidity, the better. When the weather is hot, often sprinkle water on the ground and leaves around the plants to increase the air humidity. 2. Soil

The soil should be loose and fertile.

Asparagus has relatively high requirements for soil drainage and air permeability. It is best to choose loose soil with good drainage such as humus soil and peat soil rich in humus. Adding a little organic fertilizer to the soil as base fertilizer is beneficial to the growth of plants.

3. Light

Asparagus prefers a semi-shady environment and is best placed indoors with astigmatism. Except for winter, it should not be placed in direct sunlight in other seasons, especially In summer, because the sun is more poisonous, it will burn the branches and leaves. Generally speaking, if it is placed in the sun during spring, summer, and autumn, it should be 60% blocked. 4. Watering

Asparagus has a fleshy root, so be careful when watering it. Water thoroughly every time, and do not water half of the water to prevent the rhizome from absorbing water and dying. The amount of watering should not be too much or too little, and should be controlled reasonably. When the pot soil is slightly dry, water it in time. It is necessary to "water thoroughly when it is dry".

In winter, the weather is cold and water evaporates slowly. Watering should be reduced to avoid frostbite on the roots and stems. If the room is too dry, you should spray water on the leaves in time to increase the air humidity. 5. Fertilization

During the growth period, fertilization can be applied every half month, and liquid fertilizer can be applied in conjunction with watering. However, fertilization should be stopped during the dormant period of high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter.

Young plants must have sufficient nutrients to grow, but after the plants are established, the amount of fertilizer should be reduced to prevent the plants from becoming too long and affecting the beauty of the plant shape.

6. Precautions

Asparagus cannot be cultivated outdoors in northern winter. Asparagus should be moved indoors in time to provide a warm growing environment.

Asparagus should not be watered too frequently. You can keep it moist by spraying water on the leaves. Spray water 1-2 times a day in summer; spray water once every 3-4 days in winter.

Do not water directly with tap water. It should be left to dry for 1-2 days in advance to release the chlorine in the water and ensure that the water temperature is not too cold.

Apply thin fertilizer once a week in spring and autumn, preferably compound flower fertilizer. Do not apply raw fertilizer. If you want to use household fertilizer, you can use it after full fermentation.

Asparagus does not like smoke and dust. If you use a coal stove for heating in winter, you need to ensure proper ventilation.

Asparagus bamboo should be pruned in time. Too dense branches will affect ventilation and reduce the ornamental value. If there are too many roots, they should be divided into pots in time.
