Li Ka-shing spent/kloc-0.5 billion to build this temple. What happened after 16? Did anyone come to worship?
Temples and Buddha statues have been built all over China for people to pray and worship. Generally speaking, these temples are often funded by the government and open to the public, and most of them are also listed as tourist attractions. However, there is a temple in China that is a special case. Li Ka-shing invested 65.438+0.5 billion yuan to build the Tsz Shan Monastery.
Tsz Shan Monastery covers an area of 4.7 hectares with a building area of nearly 5,000 square meters. It can accommodate more than 2000 believers at most. Developed by Hong Kong Zhengjue Lotus Society, Li Ka-shing invested1500 million yuan. Inside the temple stands the second tallest outdoor Guanyin statue in the world. Unlike most other temples, it is forbidden to burn incense when visiting Guanyin in Tsz Shan Monastery, and there is also a bulletproof private meditation room for Li Ka-shing.
Tsz Shan Monastery is rich in materials, the wood is imported from Africa, and the lotus-shaped cover of the Three Buddhas in Daxiong Hall is plated with 24K gold. The roof is made of silver tiles made in Japan to ensure the same color. The decorative value of the whole temple is hard to estimate. For example, in 20 12, the President of Sri Lanka handed over the branches of the Bodhi sacred tree to the Buddha's enlightenment office, and filmed it with precision instruments in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes to reproduce the Maitreya Sutra.
It has been 16 years since Tsz Shan Monastery was built in 2003. During this 16 period, the temple itself is unprofitable except for the daily maintenance expenses. Now the temple is still open normally, and people come here to worship in an endless stream every day. However, only the first 400 tourists are eligible to enter, so we can see many people queuing here early in the morning.
Li Ka-shing invested/kloc-0.5 billion to build the Tsz Shan Monastery, which still stands among the mountains and the temples are well maintained. There are different opinions about Li Ka-shing's investment in temples. What do you think of this?
