Burkina Faso (French: Burkina Faso) is a landlocked country located in the upper reaches of volta river in West Africa. It borders Benin and Niger in the east, Cô te d 'Ivoire, Ghana and Togo in the south, and Mali in the west and north. Most parts of the whole territory are inland plateaus with flat terrain, gentle north-south slope and an average elevation of less than 300 meters. The northern part is close to the Sahara desert, and the orodala area in the southwest is relatively high. Nakuru Peak is 749 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in China. The main rivers are Muwen River, Nakombo River and Najinon River.
Burkina Faso has a savanna climate, with annual precipitation ranging from 500 to 1000 mm, with more in the south and less in the north.
