New CET-4 composition questions
According to the examination situation over the years and the provisions of the examination syllabus and the new teaching syllabus, there are the following types of CET-6 composition: ① outline composition; 2 prompt composition; 3 chart composition; 4 keyword composition; ⑤ Write a summary or general idea of the article; 6 letters; ⑦ Resume, etc. First, the outline composition This is a restrictive proposition composition. First give the title of the English composition, and then list the outline in English or Chinese. Candidates are required to determine the writing theme according to the given outline, conceive the paragraph mode, and write a short essay that meets the requirements and has a certain number of words. The outline composition omits the idea process of setting an outline for candidates, but it puts forward new requirements for candidates from another angle: candidates must stick to the topic and strictly abide by the outline, and cannot deviate from or miss the main points of the composition stipulated in the outline. There are generally several points in the outline composition, and only a few paragraphs are written in the essay. However, if there are only two points in the outline, candidates can add a concluding paragraph when conceiving. Candidates' conception process can be mainly carried out in the following aspects: 1. Design the topic sentences of each paragraph according to the outline requirements, and be careful not to translate the outline word for word. 2. Free search for writing materials according to the outline and topic sentences. 3. Select 2 ~ 3 points that can best explain the problem for each paragraph from the searched original materials, that is, the part that is most closely related to the title, outline and topic sentence of the essay, and pay attention to the content that the examinee feels is the easiest to write. 2. Prompt composition Prompt composition is also a restrictive propositional composition. After giving the topic of English composition, prompt the writing content of this essay in Chinese or English, and ask candidates to determine the theme of the essay according to the scope of the prompt, first conceive the writing outline, then conceive the development model of the essay and paragraph, and finally search the writing materials and choose the writing points. There are various ways to prompt composition, except for the graphic and keyword forms to be discussed in the following sections, which mainly include ① providing several alternative suggestions or schemes; ② Put forward several suggestive questions; (3) Provide some key points to be included in the article; (4) A short paragraph explaining the problem or phenomenon. Third, chart composition As mentioned above, chart composition is a special composition of tips, that is, tips appear in the form of charts, and the information of tips is hidden in the charts. Candidates must study the chart carefully first, so that the data, curves and figures in the chart can become meaningful information related to the composition topic for my use. Candidates must grasp the surface information and deep meaning when looking at pictures. The main test is the examinee's excavation and elaboration of deep information (reasons, roots, development possibilities, etc.). ) picture. This kind of composition can adopt the following unified standard outline: 1. Present situation-surface phenomena revealed in Table 2. Cause-the deep social root that causes the superficial phenomenon in Figure 3. Development trend or enlightenment-the development prospect (or trend) of the phenomenon expressed in the chart and the enlightenment we get from it 4. Keyword composition is also a special prompt composition. The hint of this kind of question is no longer a coherent text or a chart with a lot of coherent information, but a group of words or phrases composed of certain topics. These words usually need to be fully used in short essays, and they are often key words related to the main content of short essays. These words generally include notional words (including verbs, adjectives, nouns or adverbs) related to the content of the essay and connectives related to the text structure of the essay, which are usually arranged in a certain (sequential) order or logical relationship. This kind of composition requires candidates to conceive the theme and outline of the essay through association according to the actual incoherent information fragments provided by keywords, and requires all related words to be used properly in the whole essay, so it is difficult to write. Although CET-6 regards them as questions, they have not been tested so far. How to conceive this kind of composition: 1. Make clear the topic and writing requirements, carry out associative conception according to the given keyword order, determine the logical relationship between the words before and after, and draw up the composition outline. 2. Reasonable segmentation according to keyword combination. 3. Use the given keywords correctly. We should use all the words correctly and appropriately. We should pay attention to the rationality, coherence and relevance of the content of the essay, and not just consider the use of given words. 5. Writing an abstract of an article or writing an abstract or a general idea is actually an application of written expression ability, which belongs to the category of practical writing. This type of question first provides the candidate with a long article, and then asks him to write a summary or general idea of the article within the specified time and number of words. The abstract or general idea of an article is a summary and summary of the main points such as the theme, main arguments and arguments of the article. The purpose of writing an abstract or general idea is to reproduce the main contents and viewpoints of the original text objectively, completely, accurately and concisely with a relatively short essay (about 1/4 to 1/5 of the original text). This question has not been tested in CET-6 so far. Methods and steps to write a summary or general idea: 1. Read the original text at a faster speed and find out the required information such as themes and main points. 2. According to these main information, conceive the reorganization order and way of these contents. The information contained in the abstract is required to be as centralized, complete and accurate as possible. At the same time, restructuring should generally follow the same order as the original.
