The waste gas valve of Jetta engine is located on the right side of the engine. Find the secondary air inlet pump, and the valve connected to the air outlet pipe of the air pump is the waste gas valve. Waste gas valve is also called oil separator and pressure control valve. Installed between the compressor outlet and the condenser inlet to improve the heat transfer effect of the condenser and evaporator through separation. Some are on the cylinder block, some are on the valve cover, and some are directly integrated on the valve cover.

Waste gas valve replacement method

In general, it is best to replace the waste gas valve every six years. It is best to use carbon deposit cleaning agent, especially to replace the oil-gas separator in time after hanging bottles to clean carbon deposit. When the oil consumption suddenly increases, the oil-gas separator should also be replaced in time. Because the main function of the oil-gas separator is to separate the fuel vapor and engine oil escaping into the crankcase.

Therefore, the oil-gas separator is also called waste gas valve. If the engine oil is damaged, it will enter the combustion chamber with the fuel vapor, resulting in an increase in fuel consumption, that is, burning engine oil. Because the core component of the oil-gas separator is the leather cup, with the extension of service time, the elasticity of the leather cup will become worse and the separation effect will decrease. Generally, the life of rubber parts will not exceed 6 years. Therefore, even if there is no abnormality, it is recommended to replace the oil-gas separator every six years.
