Can you see the meteor shower on October 22, 2014?
Meteor showers are very regional. A meteor shower can be observed by at least half of the earth. Meteor showers whose names I have heard of can be observed by all of China. The Orionid meteor shower, which peaks on October 22, is no exception.
Since the weather, work schedule, etc. are unknown, let me briefly mention a few points:
Don’t have unreasonable expectations for the number of meteors. Second-rate meteor showers like Orion are rare in cities. Being able to observe double-digit meteors is already pretty good.
Find a place with mild light pollution and observe with your naked eyes after the naked eye has adapted to the darkness (if there are not a hundred stars, you can rest earlier)
The peak of Orion is relatively gentle. It’s no problem to advance/postpone 1-2 days, leaving more room for weather changes.
