Fortune teller in Zijingshan Park, Zhengzhou

There are various versions about the origin of this geographical term, some of which are quite strange. According to the story handed down from above, this place was once covered with bauhinia trees, and this place was named after these trees, so it has been used ever since. Another version is related to the emperor, saying that this Bauhinia Mountain was named by the ancient emperor. It is said that an emperor toured Zhengzhou and saw that there were bauhinia trees with a colorful flavor, so he named it Bauhinia Mountain. In fact, amethyst is not a mountain, but it seems to be a big earthen bag. The more suspenseful story is that there lived a beautiful girl here in ancient times. Later, she entered the palace and became a concubine, but she was always frustrated in the harem. She didn't even see the emperor's face for the last time. I was homesick in tears every day, and I passed away over time. After the death of the incense, the emperor looked at her body, stunned by nature and regretted it. The passionate emperor missed his homesickness and buried her in Zhengzhou. Legend has it that the name of the girl in the palace is bauhinia. This sad story is more touching, but it always sounds like a copy of Wang Zhaojun's story. Mr. Xu from Zijingshan Park Office knows the history of the park very well. Earlier, the generation of Zijingshan was flat and almost uninhabited. 1958, the government invested in the construction of a citizen park, which was named "Dongfanghong Park" according to the historical background at that time. The newly-built park is full of bauhinia, and the bauhinia in the garden is really beautiful in late spring and early summer. Dongfanghong Park gradually became famous for bauhinia, so in the early 1980s, Dongfanghong Park was officially renamed as "Bauhinia Mountain Park". There is also a small allusion. According to the Records of Zheng County, which was rebuilt in four years of the Republic of China, "Zijing Mountain is the site of the old city behind Chongsheng Temple outside the north gate". Zijingshan is not a mountain, but a part of the ruins of the ancient shopping mall. Cities in the Central Plains have a special yearning for mountains and rivers. The name of Zijingshan also has such a meaning in it. Therefore, in addition to parks, the surrounding roads and shopping malls are also named after Zijingshan.
