06 Odyssey Replacing Starting Motor

1. Disconnect the negative battery to avoid electric shock, and position the starting motor.

2. Remove the starting motor. First remove the wiring, and then remove the support screws. Using a wrench and a torque wrench, loosen the support screw and remove the starter motor from the vehicle underbody.

3. Install a new starting motor. Install the new starting motor to the bottom of the vehicle, tighten the support screw with a torque wrench, and reconnect the line.

4. Assemble the starting motor. Assemble the starting motor to ensure that it is installed securely.

5. Connect the negative electrode of the battery. Connect the negative battery, start the vehicle, and test whether the newly started motor is normal.
