Will there be a cold spring in 2020? What's the weather like in March this year?
For many places in our country, the weather in recent days really feels like spring blossoms. For example, judging from the hourly temperature map of 15 on the afternoon of March 24th, there are only a handful of places in China where the temperature is below 0 degrees this afternoon. In many places in the central and eastern regions, the afternoon temperature is still above 20 degrees, and there is a warm atmosphere everywhere.
However, on the afternoon of March 24th, according to the ground weather map released by the Central Meteorological Observatory, a strong and extensive cold high pressure has formed in northern Xinjiang, with the central air pressure exceeding 1.040 hPa, which is the result of a large amount of cold air accumulated near the ground. This strong cold high pressure appears in this position near our country, announcing that cold air has assembled and is about to go south to our country!
In the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, this cold air about to go south to China has been called strong cold air, pointing out that its power will still be relatively strong. According to the latest forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, this southbound cold air will hit the central and eastern regions on March 25th, and affected by it, the central and eastern regions of China will be cooled by 6-8 degrees from March 25th to February 28th, with the cooling range in Jiangnan, North China and Northeast China reaching 10- 12 degrees, and the local cooling range even reaching/kloc-0. From this point of view, this strong cold air from the south has a wide range of influence and its intensity is close to the cold wave.
According to the current forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, after this strong cold air goes south, the zero line in the central and eastern parts of China will go south to the North China Plain and the eastern part of Northwest China. Not only will many places in the northeast return to cold, but many places in the North China Plain will also return to the temperature state with the lowest temperature as low as below zero. For many places in North China that have entered the spring, this cold air will bring the feeling of "cold spring".
For example, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, the highest temperature once approached 30 degrees, but on March 27th, not only the highest temperature fell below 15 degrees, but also the lowest temperature approached 0 degrees.
Although the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory does not indicate that South China will cool down, in fact, the coastal areas of South China will also be affected by this cold air, such as Guangzhou. According to the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, there will be obvious cooling around March 28th, and the current warm and hot weather will become much cooler.
For more places in the central and eastern regions, this cold air will bring more severe temperature fluctuations. Everyone should pay more attention to the weather changes and take care of themselves.
