How to clean Bora's waste gas valve

1. Remove vacuum line. Carefully take out the rubber vacuum line connected with EGR valve. If it becomes brittle, broken or worn. Buy a new one.

2. Disconnect the wiring harness. If your EGR valve is electrically connected, please remove it carefully.

3. Unplug the EGR valve. Remove the screw connected to the EGR valve. If you find it difficult to twist the screw when removing it, you can tap it gently with a small wooden block or a small hammer.

4. Remove the washing machine. If your gasket looks good (not torn, worn or broken), you can continue to use it. If there is a problem, install a new one.

5. Soak the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Cleaning the EGR valve only takes one or two steps. It depends on how long and how far you need to drive. First, put the EGR valve into a bowl filled with carburetor cleaning solution. If possible, soak it overnight. If you have no time, skip this step. Note: If your EGR valve is electrically connected, do not immerse this part in the cleaning solution.

6. Manually clean the EGR valve. If you have soaked your EGR valve overnight (if possible), clean its pipes, openings and surfaces with a small brush. You can clean every part of the EGR valve by cleaning the brush. Note: When cleaning by hand, you need to wear protective gloves and glasses. Carburetor cleaning fluid is a dangerous thing.

7. Reinstall the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Now you can reinstall the clean EGR valve. Don't forget to reconnect the vacuum hose and electrical connection (if any).
