How to connect 8-wire stepping motor?
The stepper motor has eight wires of red, yellow, orange, green, brown, white, black and blue, and the driver is connected with four interfaces of A+A-, B+ and B-.
You can also use a multimeter to confirm the polarity of the eight leads of the motor, and then make corresponding wiring to determine the memory of the leads. The steps are as follows:
1. First, measure the resistance between the eight leads with a multimeter, and you can judge four groups of coil leads;
2. The motor with only two coils (1, 6, 2, 8 or 1, 6, 7, 4) can also rotate normally, so two of the four coils are selected and connected to the driver;
If the motor does not rotate, these two groups of coils are phase A coils; The other two coils are two coils of phase B; If the motor rotates, it means that one of the two coils is phase A and the other is phase B;
3. After connecting two groups of coils to make the motor rotate, select one coil from the remaining two coils and connect it in series with the A-phase coil. If the motor rotates normally, this coil is another coil of phase A;
If the motor does not rotate, switch the positive and negative poles of the coil and try again. If the motor does not rotate, it means that this coil is another line of phase B. ..
4. In the same way as above, the polarity of the last coil can be determined.
