On August 8, Dazhou and Dazhu counties in Sichuan launched emergency response to flood control.

Heavy precipitation may cause floods, flash floods, urban waterlogging and geological disasters in small and medium-sized rivers.

From 7: 00 to 8: 00, heavy precipitation mainly occurred in the north of Dazhu, the west of Dachuan District and Quxian County. There are 38 stations in the city with rainfall exceeding 20 mm, and the largest is Dazhu Shihe, with 63.2 mm.
From 8: 00 to 9: 00, the rainfall of 24 stations in the city exceeded 20 mm, mainly concentrated in Quxian and Dachuan, of which the rainfall of 1 station exceeded 50 mm, accounting for 73.2 mm of moss in Quxian. Strong radar echoes are mainly located in the central and western parts of Quxian and Dachuan, and gradually move to the northeast.
Due to heavy rainfall, Dazhu County started flood control level I emergency response, Quxian County started flood control level II emergency response, Dachuan started flood control level IV emergency response, and Dazhou City started flood control level IV emergency response.
