Although Zhuangzi is my favorite book, I will at least talk about it. This is because the biggest inspiration of this book is that many things in life can be forgotten, and forgetting is a kind of happiness and a way and realm to gain inner freedom, so I can forget this book.
However, when I encounter some life problems occasionally, I will still think of some inspirations given by stories or words in the book.
What has been ruminating recently is this sentence, "A person's heart is like a mirror, he will not welcome it, but he should not hide it, so that he can win things without hurting them."
Just like a mirror, the "Supreme One" never dominates or welcomes (does not expect) foreign things, but responds truthfully and does not let foreign things stay inside (does not recall or go back on our word), so we can observe everything in the world without any harm.
In other words, nothing in the world can hurt his mind.
"Jiang" is generally annotated as "send", which means "send to welcome", as opposed to "welcome". Said: "Will be handsome." Handsome and rate, general, leader and leader. Liezi invited Jixian to see the pot the next day. Before leaving, he told Liezi privately: "Your teacher is going to die! I can't live! In ten days, you will die. I saw his strange face, with a wet, dark sign of death. 」

Nothing said, "What I just showed him was' I didn't leave my patriarch'. I gave him emptiness, as if there were only traces of snakes and no shadows of snakes, so he didn't know who I was at all. Once he thought he saw a bunch of rotten noses, and once he thought it was the flow of water waves, he ran away. 」
This incident made Liezi realize that he, he didn't even start the road of learning Tao. So I went home and stayed indoors for three years, helping my wife cook and raising pigs like foster care. I don't care about anything, remove all external decorations and return to the simplest essence. My body stands like a big stone, seemingly disorganized and untidy, so I die of old age.
What did Ji Xian see?
Zhuangzi's story vividly depicts the fortune teller's ugliness. Look at the four stages of Ji Xian's visit to the pot. Is it like the fortune teller's usual way of connecting the past and the future?
Threat: Mr. You is hopeless and dying.

But here is a rather interesting question.
What did Ji Xian see and was scared away? Most interpreters make a fuss about the local language, the earth or the balance machine, but the key to the explanation lies in the "application" immediately after this story:

Even people regard their hearts as mirrors, neither dominating nor welcoming foreign objects. Foreign objects come, respond truthfully, and don't exist, so they can do everything without any damage.
The pot is the "most human" here. Since he looked at his heart as a mirror, it was Ji Xian himself, not the face or heart of the pot: in fact, the heart of the pot was empty, and Ji Xian could not see anything.
Annotators almost always describe "Miti" and "Liu Bo" as the fields of monasticism, which is actually incorrect. This is Ji Xian's ego, and suddenly it looks like a rotten nose (my brother is regarded as a tear), and suddenly it looks like water drifting with the tide.
So Jixian ran away, because he saw that his true face was so ugly in the pot, so he was scared by himself.
Learning is growing, while Tao is losing.
The "heart" here, in a broad sense, refers to all problems in the spiritual or spiritual field. Zhuangzi's so-called "sadness" is more similar to what we say today, but it also includes what we often say.
To put it another way, no sadness describes the freedom of mind and spirit, so that people's hearts can play back freely, will not be infected and influenced by foreign objects, and always remain calm and bright, like a mirror, without expecting or recalling what is reflected.
After actually witnessing the teacher's way, Liezi went home and began to live a very low-key, humble and simple life, forgetting all secular names (such as husband and wife, * * *) and treating everything equally. Compared with the previous high-profile "learning from the Tao and prospering the world", Liezi even treated pigs as human beings, and finally reached a state of silence.
There are other different descriptions of the similar realm in Zhuangzi, such as dead wood and stupefaction. However, most of these descriptions of monastic realm are misinterpreted as negative idioms.
Finally, the story of "knowing one thing in one day and dying in seven days" is a negative example, telling us what not to do:

On the other hand, if you can't do anything, then you can get enlightenment. This is also the effort of "doing nothing, losing everything".
Monasticism is completely different from our general study. Laozi said, "Learning is not refined, but Tao is not refined. Loss and loss lead to inaction. Generally speaking, when we learn anything, we must work hard and work harder to increase the talents and knowledge we lack, so we "learn more". "
But for the sake of Taoism or monasticism, find your own truth, peel off everything imposed on you the day after tomorrow, and return to this truth, just like your innocence when you were born. It's just that people have been shaped by this world since they were born. "Dig a hole every day and die in seven days."
"Seven" seems to have a special meaning in ancient and modern China and foreign countries, such as the Bible. Genesis records that it took God seven days to create the world, and now the solar calendar takes seven days as a week (that is, a cycle). The divination in Zhouyi says "come back in seven days", which also means a cycle of seven days. In addition, the phrase "don't chase, you can get it in seven days" means that what you have lost doesn't need to be pursued again, and you can get it back after a cycle, which means that time is the best cure. Therefore, "seven" is not only the time significance of a cycle and cycle, but also a symbol of creativity.
For Taoism, man-made "creation" is the "destruction" of Tao.
On the other hand, as we often say, "we can't go back", it seems impossible for us to return to the innocence of infancy.
As far as cultural society is concerned, it is wishful thinking for human civilization to return to the simplicity of ancient infancy. However, from the point of view of human spirit, this contradiction and impossibility is desirable, but its "desirability" is realized by a paradox method of "impossibility".
This is also the "inaction", "no desire", "opposition" and "the loss of Tao" mentioned by Laozi in Tao Te Ching, and the "forgetting" kung fu often mentioned in Zhuangzi.
