Before the arrival of the new year, the custom of putting blessings on doors and waving spring is said to have originated from Zhu Yuanzhang, the great ancestor of the Ming Dynasty. One year during the Lantern Festival, he traveled incognito. In a town, he saw many people looking at a picture of a barefoot woman holding a big watermelon, which meant to make fun of the big feet of a woman in Huaixi.
Hunchun city
Because Ma Huanghou was from Huaixi, Zhu Yuanzhang was very angry. After returning to the palace, he immediately ordered to send someone to the town to investigate who painted the painting and who was watching it, so that people who did not participate in painting or watching it could put a blessing on the door as a mark, and the county government sent people to arrest people where there was no blessing.
So later, everyone believed that if the word "Fu" was put on it, the family would be safe. In the future, every New Year's Eve, they will write down the word "Extraordinary Happiness" on red paper and stick it on the door, hoping for good luck and peace in the coming year.
