Where did the twenty-four solar terms originate?
Twenty-four solar terms are the accumulation of long-term experience and the crystallization of wisdom of ancient Han working people. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period, four solar terms, namely, mid-spring, mid-summer, mid-autumn and mid-winter, were set, and they were constantly improved and perfected. By the Qin and Han Dynasties, the 24 solar terms had been completely established.
The meaning of the twenty-four solar terms:
1, beginning of spring: It is a solar term that started in beginning of spring, indicating that the severe winter has passed and the temperature is beginning to rise.
2. Rain: It means that most parts of China have been thawed by ice, the temperature has risen, the humidity has increased, and the rain has gradually increased.
3. Stunned: When the weather gets warmer, the spring thunder starts to shake, and the hibernating animals that are dormant in the soil will wake up.
4. Equinox: On this day, the northern and southern hemispheres are equal day and night. After this day, the direct position of the sun moves northward, and the days in the northern hemisphere are long and the nights are short, so the vernal equinox begins in the northern hemisphere in spring.
5. Tomb-Sweeping Day: The weather in Tomb-Sweeping Day is getting warmer, and the average temperature in most areas of the Yellow River Basin has risen above 10 degrees, and the temperature in the Yangtze River Basin is even higher. The vegetation in the north has sprouted and turned green, and the land in the south has been covered with green clothes.
6. Grain Rain: In Grain Rain, the temperature and ground temperature rise steadily, and the rainfall increases, which is beneficial to the growth of five grains, so there is a saying that "rain gives birth to a hundred grains".

10, summer solstice: During the summer solstice, the sun is almost directly above the Tropic of Cancer, and the sun is the highest in the northern hemisphere at noon. At this time, the northern hemisphere has the longest day and the shortest night. From this day on, it entered the hot season, when everything in the world grew most vigorously.
