2022 is the 40th anniversary of the issuance of China Panda Gold Coin. 3. On March 25th, 2020, the People's Bank of China and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics formally signed the Commemorative Coin Issuance Agreement for the 24th Winter Olympics.

According to the arrangement of the issuance agreement, the People's Bank of China will issue 2 ordinary commemorative coins, 2 commemorative banknotes and 19 gold and silver commemorative coins from 2020.
