world record
The first world record for men's 800 meters was set in 1893, with a score of 2 feet 5 inches. The current world record was set by David Ray Kutarudisha, a famous Kenyan athlete, at the 20 12 London Olympic Games, with the score of 1' 40" 9 1.
The first world record of1500m was set in 1892 with a score of 4' 24 "6. The current world record (as of August 1997, the same below) is 3' 27" 37. The world records of 5000 meters and 10000 meters were both set in 1897, with the scores of 16' 34 "6 and 34' 28" 8 respectively. The current world records are 12' 44 "39 and 26' 38" 08 respectively.
