Why are we addicted to psychological tests-Pogliana effect?
2. There are two misunderstandings in the psychological test:
(1) Barnum effect: Fortune tellers like to say something ambiguous, which makes people feel that he is accurate.
(2) Pollyanna effect: It is easy for us to imagine ourselves better than our real selves, and it is also easy to accept others' positive descriptions of us.
Exercise: How do you feel after the big five personality test?
The results of the fifth grade personality test are basically consistent with my understanding of myself-easily influenced by anxiety, low openness and high rigor, but to my surprise, although I chose to believe that human nature is good in the test questions, the test results show that I am a person who believes that human nature is evil.
The feeling after the exam is that I have a deep understanding of myself, but I still have no idea about how to make better use of my personality traits.
