Sports activities are typical active life activities, and meteorological environment and weather and climate conditions are necessary and sufficient conditions for life activities including sports. By studying the relationship between meteorology and sports, we can identify the climate and weather conditions in some areas, not only evaluate the situation of sports meteorological resources in this area, but also reasonably arrange the most suitable time and place for specific events and various sports events, so as to provide scientific basis for athletes to give full play to their physical fitness.

In the Olympic meteorological service, if we can fully mobilize the subjective initiative of forecast service personnel, make them take into account the characteristics of human life activities and other related factors when making weather forecasts, and consider the impact of climate and weather on human resilience and plasticity, it may be much better than simply making general weather forecasts to do long-,medium-and short-term supporting forecast services and timely early warning services, and greatly improve the pertinence and efficiency of meteorological services.
