1. Background and purpose: World Water Monitoring Day was first held in 2003, initiated by Earth International, an American water resource organization. 2. Time and method of activities: World Water Monitoring Day is scheduled for September 6th+08th every year. Activities include sampling and testing the water quality of rivers, lakes, oceans and other waters, and observing and recording water cleanliness, pH value, dissolved oxygen, temperature and other indicators.
