13 Ford maverick 2.0 four-wheel drive gearbox sometimes slips and sometimes does not upshift?

1, failure phenomenon

(1) When the car is driving, the automatic transmission is always in 1 gear, and it is not allowed to shift to second gear and high gear.

(2) While driving, the automatic transmission can be shifted to 2nd gear, but not to 3rd gear and overdrive gear.

2. Reasons for failure

(1) The throttle cable or throttle position sensor is not adjusted properly.

(2) The governor is faulty.

(3) The governor oil circuit is seriously leaking oil.

(4) The speed sensor is faulty.

(5) The second brake or high-speed clutch is faulty.

(6) The shift valve is stuck.

(7) The gear switch is faulty.

Step 3 resolve disputes

(1) For the electronically controlled automatic transmission, the fault self-diagnosis should be carried out first. Sensors affecting shift control include throttle position sensor, vehicle speed sensor, etc. Find the cause of the fault according to the displayed fault code.

(2) Re-adjust the throttle cable or throttle position sensor according to the standard.

(3) Check the speed sensor. If it is damaged, it should be replaced.

(4) Check the signal of the gear switch. If there is any abnormality, it should be adjusted or replaced.

(5) Measure the oil pressure of the governor. If the oil pressure of the governor is still 0 or very low after the vehicle speed is increased, it means that the governor is faulty or the oil circuit of the governor is seriously leaking oil. In this regard, the Governor should be dismissed. If the governor valve core is stuck, it should be disassembled and cleaned, and the valve core and valve hole should be polished with metallographic sandpaper. If it is still sticky after cleaning and polishing, replace the governor.

(6) Check whether there is any leakage in the governor oil circuit with compressed air. If there is leakage, please replace the sealing ring.

(7) If the oil pressure of the governor is normal, remove the valve plate and check all shift valves. If the shift valve has a clamp, the valve core can be taken out, polished with metallographic sandpaper, cleaned and installed. If it cannot be repaired, replace the valve plate.

(8) If there is no fault in the control system, disassemble the automatic transmission, check whether each shift actuator slips, and check whether there is leakage in each clutch, brake oil circuit or piston with compressed air.

For automatic transmission, the mechanism of upshift frustration is the same. Both of them produce speed difference, and the synchronization process after shifting is not fine.

The traditional AT gearbox relies on the flexible transmission element of hydraulic torque converter. The so-called flexibility is relative to rigidity, and clutch transmission is rigid transmission. For example, to make the ball floating on the water move, you can directly push the ball, which is rigid transmission; You can also let the water flow and let the ball drift along the current. This is the flexible transmission.

Therefore, AT gearbox is usually easy to smooth, relying on hydraulic torque converter. Since it is hydraulic transmission, it will naturally lose some energy consumption, so fuel consumption has become the shortcoming of AT gearbox.
