Hello friends, Welcome to the Lotus Buddha Country - Jiuhua Mountain Tourism. At this moment, I will first introduce to you an overview of our Jiuhua Mountain:
Jiuhua Mountain is located in Qingyang County, Anhui Province. It is a key scenic spot in my country and a national A 5A-level scenic spot, it is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, along with Mount Wutai in Shanxi, Mount Emei in Sichuan, and Mount Putuo in Zhejiang. Do you understand that Mount Wutai is the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva, Mount Emei is the dojo of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Mount Putuo is the dojo of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and our Jiuhua Mountain is the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Jiuhua Mountain was originally called Jiuzishan. Because there are 99 peaks in Jiuhua Mountain, nine of them are extremely prominent, so it was called Jiuzishan. Later, the poet Li Bai came to visit Jiuhua Mountain and saw the mountains and mountains. He wrote the poem "There are two wonderful things, Lingshan blooms with Jiuhua". After that, people changed the name of Jiuzi Mountain to Jiuhua Mountain. During the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, Jin Qiaojue, the prince of the Silla Kingdom, practiced in our Jiuhua Mountain and finally passed away at the age of 99. The Buddhist community believes that his ascetic practices during his lifetime and his physical body after his death are very similar to the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva recorded in the Buddhist scriptures, so they believe that he is the incarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Buddhists call him Golden Ksitigarbha. Jiuhua Mountain is also regarded as the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. There are now more than 90 monasteries and more than 600 monks. It is a Buddhist holy place with distinctive characteristics and important influence.
After talking about it, we have arrived. When we come to this Buddhist holy land, of course we have to feel the immortality of the Buddha. So, today we will start with the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area, which has the most temples, and enter the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area. In the Huajie Scenic Area, what comes into view is a Shimenfang. He is carved from marble and is nine meters high. Please look up. The four characters "Jiuhua Holy Land" are engraved on the banner. This is the handiwork of Emperor Kangxi! After passing the gate, you can see below The most famous one is the Yingxian Bridge. This bridge was built during the Qianlong period. Come with me on this ancient bridge and let’s step into the fairyland together!
Look, after crossing the bridge, we are facing Ours is Gion Temple. It is a national key temple and the only palace-style temple in Jiuhua Mountain. It is the largest among the four jungles in Jiuhua Mountain. It consists of more than ten individual buildings such as the Mountain Gate, the Heavenly King's Hall, the Main Hall, the Guest Hall, the Lecture Hall and the Sutra Collection Building. Visitors, please pay attention to this mountain gate. Have you noticed that it deviates from the central axis of the main hall? Do you understand why? Because! There is something special about placing the mountain gate crookedly. Firstly, it is to avoid evil, and secondly, the door faces the Kaishanzu Temple. Huacheng Temple. Before entering the temple, everyone should pay attention to the following points: First, when entering the temple, you must cross the threshold with one foot. The threshold of the temple is the shoulder of the Buddha. You must not step on it. Second, do not make loud noises or make noise inside. Bring the joke of the world of mortals into the temple, and thirdly, please don’t touch the monks’ magical instruments at will.
Next, everyone will follow me into Gion Temple to appreciate its unique charm! Our location at the moment is the Tennoden Hall. On both sides of the main hall, there are statues of the four heavenly kings. They are the Heavenly King of Dharma in the East, the Heavenly King of Growth in the South, the Heavenly King of Guangmu in the West, and the Heavenly King of Duowen in the North. They are also known as the Four Heavenly Kings of Good Weather and Good Weather, and are the protectors of Buddhism. Everyone, please look at the middle of the hall. The smiling Buddha enshrined there is Maitreya Buddha. The one behind Maitreya is Wei Tuo Bodhisattva. He is the divine general who protects Sakyamuni.
Okay, all tourists, please follow Xiao Wang, pay attention to your steps, and walk out from the Tianwang Hall to the Main Hall. There are three 12-meter-tall Buddhas enshrined there. The one in the middle is Sakyamuni, and the two sides are Amitabha Buddha and Medicine Buddha. On both sides of the main hall, you must have guessed it, right! The statues of the Eighteen Arhats are enshrined there. Everyone, follow me and walk back. At the back of the main hall, there are seated statues of Manjusri and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva enshrined. This large-scale three-dimensional relief sculpture of "Island Guanyin" is carved on the back of the Sakyamuni Buddha statue. It is a complete picture that condenses all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism.
Friends behind us, please follow us. After leaving Gion Temple, we came to Huacheng Temple, which is the founder temple of Jiuhua Mountain. Everyone can see a stone platform outside Huacheng Temple. On the platform is the Empress Pagoda and a well. Because it was destroyed in __, only a platform base is left. It is said that Jin Qiaojue was practicing here at that time. His mother She missed him very much, so she ran to find him. Because of her longing, she cried for three days and three nights, until her eyes went blind. Jin Qiaojue used this well to wash her eyes. After that, he My mother regained her sight. Therefore, this well was called Mingyan Spring. In order to commemorate his mother, later generations built the Empress Tower next to it.
After walking up the 99 lotus steps, we have arrived at the Palace of the Flesh Body. Please read the words on the plaque: Palace of the Moon Body! Why is it called the Palace of the Moon Body? Because in the past, the moon and the flesh were connected. So nowadays, many words describing human body organs will have the word "month" next to them. The architecture of the Hall of the Physical Body is very unique. There is a tower in the hall, and a stone tower in the tower. Under the stone tower is the physical body of Jin Jizo. July 30 of the lunar calendar is his birthday and the day of his death. Thousands of people will come that day. worship. When entering the Hall of the Flesh, we can see Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's vow hanging above the door: Only when all sentient beings have survived can we realize Bodhi; hell is not empty. I vow not to become a Buddha. Therefore Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is also called Great Wish Bodhisattva. I believe that with the blessing of the Great Wish Bodhisattva, I will always be with you in the future.
Next we will go to the Centenary Palace, which was built in the Ming Dynasty and enshrines the body of the flawless monk. It is said that when monk Wu Xia was practicing, he mainly ate wild plants such as Polygonatum sibiricum, Salvia miltiorrhiza, and other wild plants. He also mixed the blood of his tongue with gold powder to copy a Buddhist scripture. It took him more than 20 years to complete the copying of the scripture. He passed away at the age of 110. In the Body Hall of the Centenary Palace, you can see the golden Buddha statue of the flawless monk, wearing a monk's hat and cassock, sitting on a lotus platform, enjoying the incense of eternity. 14 bodies have been discovered in Mount Jiuhua, most of which were left by monks and nuns who were about a hundred years old. This may be related to factors such as their long-term vegetarian diet, relatively low water content in their bodies when they passed away, and the good sealing of the porcelain vats.
Friends, please follow me. Next we are going to the rooftop scenic spot. As the saying goes, "If you don't go to the rooftop, you didn't come", which means that Jiuhua's scenic spot is on the rooftop. Tiantai Peak is the main peak of Jiuhua Mountain, with an altitude of more than 1,300 meters. Standing on Tiantai Peak, you can see the panoramic view of Jiuhua Street. The main attractions in the Tiantai Scenic Area include Guanyin Stone, Dapeng Sutra Listening Stone and other strange rocks, as well as the Ksitigarbha Cave where Jin Jizang first came to Jiuhua Mountain to practice. The miraculous ancient prayer platform, the Tiantai Temple, the main place where Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva preaches scriptures, okay, let us take the cable car to the Tiantai Scenic Area together!

Dear tourists, hello! Welcome to our Lotus Buddha Country - Jiuhua Mountain! I am your tour guide for this trip. My name is Wang Ping, you can just call me Xiao Wang. Let me first introduce to you an overview of our Jiuhua Mountain. Jiuhua Mountain is located in Chizhou City, Anhui Province. It is the main scenic spot in Anhui's "Two Mountains and One Lake" golden tourist area. It has beautiful scenery and numerous ancient temples. It is also known as my country's four famous Buddhist mountains together with Mount Emei in Sichuan, Mount Wutai in Shanxi, and Mount Putuo in Zhejiang.
Jiuhua Mountain was not originally called Jiuhua Mountain. It was called Jiuzishan in the Tang Dynasty. Because Jiuhua Mountain has beautiful peaks and there are nine peaks higher than the clouds, so there are nine Jiuzishan. During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai, the immortal poet, visited this place twice and successively wrote such eternal lines as "There are two wonderful spirits, Jiuhua blooms in the Lingshan Mountain, and nine hibiscus bloom in the Tianhe River", which is why Jiuhua Mountain got its name. , and is still used today.
Jiuhua Mountain has a long history of religious activities. Taoism first developed in Jiuhua Mountain, and Buddhism became more prosperous. During the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, Prince Jin Qiaojue of the Silla Kingdom sailed eastward and visited famous mountains, and finally chose to practice in our Jiuhua Mountain. He slept in a cave on the mountain at night, drank water from the mountain spring when he was thirsty, and ate wild plants on the mountain when he was hungry.
He finally passed away when he was 99 years old. The Buddhist community believes that he practiced hard during his lifetime, and after his death, he merged with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva recorded in the Buddhist scriptures, and was revered as the incarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Because his surname was Jin when he was not a monk, he was also called Jin Ksitigarbha. Jiuhua Mountain has since been established as the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. After the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism in Jiuhua Mountain gradually spread. After repairs in the past dynasties, there were more than 150 temples in the mountain by the Qing Dynasty. The four major jungles of Gion Temple, Dongya Temple, Centennial Palace and Ganlu Temple were among the incense temples. The world is prosperous.
Next we first entered the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area, and the first thing we saw was a Shimenfang.
It is carved from marble, 9 meters high, and imitates the Huizhou architecture of the Qing Dynasty. The banner is engraved with the four characters "Jiuhua Shengjing" written by Emperor Kangxi. There are stone lions carved on the north and south sides of the two pillars of the central gate. The gate is dignified and elegant. What you will see after passing the gate is Yingxian Bridge. This bridge was built during the Qianlong period. It is a single-hole stone arch bridge. I would like to invite everyone to follow me on this ancient bridge and walk together. Enter the wonderland!
As you can see, across the bridge is the main hall of Gion Temple. Jiyuan Temple is a national key temple. It is the largest among the four jungles in Mount Jiuhua. It consists of more than ten individual buildings such as the mountain gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, guest hall, lecture hall and sutra collection building. It is a typical modular building. , its mountain gate is deviated from the central axis of the main hall, do you know why? Because, there is a lot of emphasis on placing the mountain gate crookedly, firstly to ward off evil spirits, and secondly, so that the door faces the Huacheng Temple, the founder of the mountain.
The main hall has glazed green tiles and upturned eaves, giving it a very prominent position. There is a stone carving on the wall in the front yard of the temple. The five characters "Taishan Shigandang" on it are very eye-catching. Let's guess what it is for. In fact, this is unique to Gion Temple and is used to ward off evil spirits and suppress demons. .
Entering the mountain gate is the Lingguan Hall. After entering the door and entering the hall, standing in the shrine is Wang Lingguan with red face and red beard, wide eyes and holding an iron whip high. Wang Lingguan is the protector of Taoism. How did he come here to protect Buddhism? It is said that Wei Tuo, the protector of Buddhism, made the mistake of "killing" and was "dismissed" by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, leaving Wang Lingguan to take over. This reflects the " The Tianwangdian meaning of "cooperation" is probably the only one in the country.
Across a small courtyard from the Lingguan Hall, there is a pavilion-style square double-eaves hall on the top of a hill with four statues of heavenly kings inside, called the Hall of Heavenly Kings. In the middle niche sits the Maitreya Buddha, who is "always smiling and has a big belly." "One bowl of food for thousands of families, one can travel thousands of miles alone" are two of his verses. On both sides are four statues of heavenly kings.
Lingguan Hall and Tianwang Hall are on the same platform, and the Main Hall is built on the platform one level higher. In the main hall, there is a 12-meter-high Third Buddha standing on the front. Under it is a green lotus seat and a Sumeru seat (also called Vajra platform), which is exquisitely carved. On the front of the altar table is a large relief carving with the story "Tang Monk Goes for Buddhist Scriptures". In front of the Buddha statue, there is a place of worship for the monk who presides over the Dharma assembly.
Well, after visiting Gion Temple, we are now at the center of Jiuhua Street. What everyone can see is Huacheng Temple, the founder of Jiuhua Mountain. There is a saying in Buddhist scriptures that "refers to the earth as a city". Huacheng Temple is located southwest of Huacheng Peak in Jiuhua Mountain and in the center of Huacheng Basin, so it is named Huacheng Temple. Huacheng Temple has a long history. It was built in the Jin Dynasty and is also the main temple of Jiuhua Mountain. The temple's buildings are laid out according to the mountain, reflecting the superb architectural design art. There is an ancient bell in the temple that is more than ten feet high and weighs about 2,000 kilograms. It is exquisitely cast and has a loud sound. When struck with a mallet, the solemn and clear sound of the bell echoes in the valley, often making people feel otherworldly. "Huacheng Evening Bell" has become one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Jiuhua".
The ancient temple has experienced ups and downs, but still stands tall in the course of time. There are four existing residential-style palaces, the first three of which are Qing Dynasty buildings: the first is Lingguan Hall, the second is Tianwang Hall, and the third is Mahavira Hall. There is a huge four-water patio between the second and third entrances, which means "Four Waters Guiming Hall". The main hall has all wooden windows and doors, with ice-patterned window lattice carved on the lintels. The relief sculpture of "Nine Dragons Panzhu" in the large caisson on the top is an art treasure. The Sijin Sutra Collection Building is the only Ming Dynasty building in Jiuhua Mountain and has been recently restored to its original appearance. Huacheng Temple gradually rises according to the terrain, with a rigorous structure, simplicity and elegance, basically preserving the original style of Kaishanzu Temple.
Under the stone steps of Huacheng Temple, there is a pair of stone lions from the Song Dynasty, one female and one male, which are ancient and simple. There is a crescent-shaped life-release pond in front of it. It is said that it was excavated by Jin Jizo and his disciples when they built Huacheng Temple. It is not only used to prevent fires in the temple, but also for monks and pilgrims to release animals. In front of the pool is the flat and open Huacheng Square. In the square there is a foundation of the "Empress Pagoda" made of stone strips, which commemorates Jin Jizo's mother. It is said that after Jin Ksitigarbha's mother learned about Jin Ksitigarbha's Zhuoxi Jiuhua, she traveled thousands of miles to the mountains to find her son. She missed her son for a long time and was about to go blind due to the wind and frost along the way. Jin Jizo used spring water from a well next to the square to wash his mother's eyes and cured her eye disease. Later generations of this well became known as "Mingyan Spring".
Jin Ksitigarbha served his mother attentively and explained the karma of Buddhism to her in detail. Her mother was enlightened and eventually stayed in the mountain to help her son protect the Buddha. Later generations built a pagoda in the square to commemorate it, called the "Empress Pagoda". However, some people in Jiuhua Mountain also call it the "Empress Pagoda" to commemorate Jin Jizang's wife before she became a monk.
Whether it is a mother or a wife, the legend of "Empress Tower" is beautiful.
Well, our tour of Jiuhua Mountain has come to an end. We are grateful for your support and cooperation in Xiao Wang’s work. We hope to have the opportunity to continue to serve you in the future. I wish you all a safe journey! Thank you< /p>
2021 Jiuhuashan Tour Guide 5 Minutes 3
Dear tourist friends, hello everyone! Welcome to visit Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. I am Xiao Zhao, the tour guide of Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area this time. I am honored to accompany you all to visit. Next, I will explain Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area to you.
Jiuhua Mountain is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. It is characterized by splendid Buddhist culture and gorgeous natural landscape. It is a national 5A tourist area and a national polite tourism demonstration site. It is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, together with Wutai Mountain of Qingliang Buddhist Kingdom, Mount Emei of Bright Buddhist Kingdom, and Putuo Mountain of Haitian Buddhist Kingdom.
Jiuhua Mountain is located on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, in the southwest of Anhui Province. It was named Lingyang Mountain in ancient times. Before the Tang Dynasty, it was known as "this mountain is very beautiful, higher than the clouds, with unusually shaped peaks, nine in number." Hence the name "Jiuzishan". During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, the poet Li Bai visited Jiuhua three times and wrote famous lines such as "There are two wonderful spirits, Jiuhua blooms in Lingshan Mountain", "The Milky Way is hung with green water, showing off nine hibiscus." In his poems, he included Jiuhua. The nine main peaks of Zishan are likened to nine blooming lotus flowers. Because the word "flower" in ancient Chinese means "hua", in the 13th year of Tianbao's reign, Jiuzi Mountain was renamed Jiuhua Mountain, and the mountain name has been used to this day.
Jiuhua Mountain is not only famous for its strange peaks and rocks, waterfalls and flowing springs, and quiet and beautiful natural beauty, it is also famous for the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Dojo" and is known as the "No. 1 Mountain in the Southeast" "Lianhua Buddha Land" and other reputations. At present, there are 99 temples in Jiuhua Mountain, 9 of which are national key temples. Let’s go to the Huacheng Temple, the main temple in Jiuhua Mountain! According to records in the Buddhist scriptures: Once Sakyamuni and his disciples came down He preached in the countryside and walked a long way. The young disciple was hungry and thirsty. He sat on the ground and couldn't get up. At this time, the Buddha pointed in front of him and said: There is a city in front of you. Go and fast. The disciple immediately became energetic. In fact, the so-called Huacheng came from the enlightenment of Buddha. There, I would like to remind everyone that everyone must step across the threshold when entering the temple. The threshold of the temple is the shoulders of the Buddha. You must not step on it. This is out of respect for the Lord Buddha. Okay, now Let's go in and take a look.
Huacheng Temple is the oldest ancient temple in the Jin Dynasty in Jiuhua Mountain. The temple's buildings are laid out on the mountain, reflecting the superb architectural design art. In front of the temple, there is a powerful and beautiful horizontal plaque of "Jiuhuashan Historical Relics Museum" inscribed by Zhao Puchu.
At this moment, please look in the direction of my finger, that is the famous "Centenary Palace", a palace built on the cliff. There are ten gold characters written on the plaque: "A hundred-year-old palace and a ten-year-old temple to protect the country." Now let us take the ground cable car of Centenary Palace to get close to Centenary Palace! It is said that during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, a monk named Wu Xia came to Jiuhua Mountain at the age of 26 and lived in Zen in Motianling, Dongya Peak. The precepts were strict and he practiced diligently. It took him 28 years to prick his tongue and mix his blood with gold powder to copy the Huayan Sutra of Dafang Guangfo. It took 20 years to copy 81 volumes of the sutra. In the autumn of the third year of Tianqi, Wuxia understood that his time was short, so he summoned all living beings to say goodbye and passed away peacefully at the age of 110. The disciples followed his instructions and put his body into the vat. Three years later, his apprentice Hui Guang often saw glowing lights in the jar, so he opened the jar and found that Wu Xia's face was as good as life and his body was intact, so he filled it with gold and offered it to him. Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty understood and named him "Yingshen Bodhisattva". Please see, everyone, wearing a monk's hat and red cassock, sitting on the lotus platform is the golden body of the flawless monk. The ancients said: "If you don't get to the Centenary Palace, it's all in vain. If you get to the Centenary Palace, everything will be successful." This time everyone will come to the Centenary Palace and everything will go smoothly.
Next, let’s go to the rooftop of Jiuhua Mountain. To get to the rooftop, we need to pass through the Phoenix Pine Scenic Area. Phoenix Pine is located in Zhongmin Garden of Jiuhua Mountain and is a major landscape of Jiuhua Mountain. Please see, the pine is 7.68 meters high and 1 meter in diameter at breast height. It has a unique shape, just like a phoenix spreading its wings, hence the name Phoenix Pine. The main trunk is flat and has an upturned head, like a phoenix crown. The two branches are one high and one low, shaped like a phoenix tail. The roots are surrounded by green grass. There is a large garden stone under the pine tail, which is called "Phoenix Egg".
This ancient Phoenix pine was recorded in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and has a history of 1,400 years. It is still tall, leafy and green today. With its majestic appearance and legendary stories, the Phoenix Pine has become the protagonist in the hymns and beautiful paintings of many poets, painters, and photographers in ancient and modern times, and is known as the "No. 1 Pine in the World."
Now let’s go to the rooftop to take a look. Tiantai Peak is the main peak of Jiuhua Mountain, with an altitude of more than 1,300 meters. There is a saying that "if you don't go to the rooftop, you didn't come". From the rooftop on Jiuhua Street, it’s about 15 Huali Mountain Road, passing many scenic spots along the way. When you reach the top of the rooftop out of breath, the scenery in front of you will broaden your mind and relieve your fatigue. Surrounded by mountains, Jiuhua Street is only as big as a palm. Looking far into the distance, the sky and the earth are integrated, and the Yangtze River is faintly visible. The clear mountain breeze brings waves of pines and bamboos, which is intoxicating. The surrounding rocks are strangely shaped and mostly dark in color. There is a huge stone engraved with the words "not human". At this moment, it really makes people feel like they are in the Penglai fairyland. Watching the sunrise from the rooftop is said to be as beautiful as watching it from the Sunrise Peak of Mount Tai. Therefore, "Tiantai Xiaori" is listed as one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Jiuhua".
Next, let us go to the Palace of the Flesh Body. Please take a look at the words on the forehead: Palace of the Moon Body! Why is it called the Palace of the Moon Body? Because in the past, moon and flesh were interchangeable characters, so Nowadays, many words describing human body parts and organs will have the word "month" next to them. The architecture of the Hall of the Flesh Body is very distinctive. "There is a tower in the hall, a vat in the tower, and a flesh body in the vat." This flesh body is the flesh body of Ksitigarbha King Jin Qiaojue. In the tenth year of Yuanzhen of the Tang Dynasty, Jin Qiaojue practiced hard in Jiuhua Mountain for 75 years. He passed away on July 30 of the lunar calendar in the 10th year of Zhenyuan of the Tang Dynasty at the age of 99. The Buddhist disciples followed the method of pagoda to cover Jin Qiaojue's vat for three years. After three years, they opened the vat and found that various signs were very consistent with the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures. , monks believed that Jin Qiaojue was the reincarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Because Jin Qiaojue's family name was Jin, Buddhists respected him as "Jin Ksitigarbha", and his body was enshrined in the body treasure hall on Shenguang Ridge of Jiuhua Mountain. He is revered as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. When you walk into the Hall of Flesh Body, you can see Ksitigarbha's great wish hanging on the lintel: Only when all sentient beings have crossed over can they realize Bodhi; until the hell is empty, I vow not to become a Buddha. Therefore Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is also called Great Wish Bodhisattva. You may not know much about Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (Sanskrit: Ksitigarbha) is named because he is "suffering and motionless, like the earth, and meditating deeply, like a secret treasure." According to Buddhist scriptures, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva saved my mother who was suffering in hell several times in the past lives; and he has been vowing to save all sinful and suffering sentient beings, especially the sentient beings in hell. Therefore, this Bodhisattva is widely spread by Buddhism for his virtues of "great filial piety" and "great wishes". Therefore, he is generally known as the "Great Wish Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" and has become one of the four major Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism. I believe that with the blessing of the Great Wish Bodhisattva, you will always have good luck in the future.
That’s it for everyone’s introduction to the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. Now you can visit it freely and return there as planned. I wish you all a good time.

2021 Jiuhuashan Tour Guide 5 Minutes 5
Dear tourists, hello everyone, let me introduce myself, my name is Wang Bing. First of all, welcome everyone to the beautiful Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, the Lotus Buddha Country. There is a saying that goes well, it takes five hundred times to look back in the past life for one chance encounter in this life. If we can gather together happily today, it is estimated that everyone is constantly looking back in the past life. Xiao Wang also cherishes this rare encounter. You can visit Jiuhua Mountain. This is a destiny with Buddha, a destiny with the mountain, and a destiny with me. I am very happy to be your tour guide. I hope that my sincerity can bring you a satisfied smile.
First of all, let me briefly introduce Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. Jiuhua Mountain is located in Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. During the Southern Dynasties, the peaks had unusual shapes, resembling children, and there were nine of them, so they were called Jiuzi Mountain. When Li Bai visited the mountain in the Tang Dynasty, he saw that the nine peaks were shaped like lotus flowers and wrote, "There are two wonderful Qi, Lingshan blooms with Jiuhua." From then on, people called this mountain Jiuhua Mountain. It is the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and together with Mount Wutai in Shanxi, Mount Emei in Sichuan, and Mount Putuo in Zhejiang, it is also known as the four famous Buddhist mountains in China! In the 7th century AD, during the Tang Dynasty, Jin Qiaojue, the prince of Silla Kingdom (today’s Korean Peninsula) He sailed east and settled in Jiuhua Mountain. He practiced hard for decades and passed away at the age of 99. It is said that when he opened the tank three years later, his "face was as alive as life and his body was not rotten." It is considered that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's "miraculous manifestation", and since then Jiuhua Mountain has been established as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's dojo.
Now we are entering the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area. The first thing we see is a stone gate. The gate is dignified and elegant. It is carved from marble and is 9 meters high. You can see the horizontal stone gate. The four characters "Jiuhua Holy Land" engraved on the forehead are written by Emperor Kangxi himself. After passing the gate, what everyone sees below is the Yingxian Bridge. This bridge was built during the Qianlong period and is a single-hole bridge. Stone arch bridge, Yingxian bridge, Yingxian bridge. As the name suggests, after crossing this bridge, we will go from the mortal world to the fairyland. There, everyone will follow me to step on this ancient bridge, and let's step into the fairyland together.
As you can see, across the bridge is the main hall of Gion Temple. Gion Temple is a national key temple and the largest of the four jungles in Mount Jiuhua. "Jungle" means many like-minded monks, like many big trees, living in the same place and practicing together. Gionji Temple is composed of more than ten single buildings including the Shanmen, Tianwang Hall, Main Hall, Guest Hall, Lecture Hall, and Sutra Pavilion. It is a typical modular building.
Its mountain gate is deviated from the central axis of the main hall. Do you know why? Because the mountain gate is placed at an angle, which is very particular. Firstly, it is to ward off evil spirits, and secondly, the door faces the Kaishanzu Temple. The intention of Huacheng Temple is also very clever. Let's take a look. On the wall of the front yard of the temple, there is a line with the five characters "Taishan Shi Gandang" very eye-catching. Let's guess what it is for. , yes, this is also used to ward off evil spirits. This is also unique to Gionji Temple. The cultural relics of Gionji Temple are precious. The plaque of the Main Hall written by Yourato in 1933 is still hanging on the main hall. There are also seven large copper pots from the Republic of China period in the kitchen of the temple, the largest of which is 173 centimeters in diameter. It is known as "Thousand Monk Kitchen".
Let’s go into the temple and feel the mysterious Buddhist culture. Before entering the temple, Xiao Wang will tell you about the rules of entering the temple. There are also many things to pay attention to when entering the temple. When entering the temple, try to walk through both doors. If you go to the right, step your right foot first, and if you go to the left, step your left foot. Do not step on the threshold, let alone stand or sit on the threshold. This is disrespectful to the Buddha.
Okay, after visiting Gionji Temple. Next we are going to visit Huacheng Temple. There is a saying in Buddhist scriptures that "the earth turns into a city". According to historical records, the Tianzhu monk Beidu built a temple here in the fifth year of Long'an (401) of the Jin Dynasty. In the late Kaiyuan years of the Tang Dynasty, a monk named Tanhao lived here and inscribed the temple "Huacheng" on its forehead. Later, Zhugejie, an old man from Qingyang County, went up the mountain and found Jin Qiaojue who was practicing hard in a cave on the cliff. He was deeply moved, so he bought the old Tan Gong land, built a pavilion and a temple, and invited Jin Qiaojue to live here. live. Later, the forehead title was moved here, so Huacheng Temple became the founding ancestral temple of Jiuhua Mountain Ksitigarbha Dojo. Now, it has been turned into the Jiuhuashan Historical Relics Museum. The name of the museum was inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Buddhist Association. What is currently on display in the museum is Jin Qiaojue's life story and precious historical relics.
We saw that there is a release pond in front of Huacheng Temple. It is said that it was dug by Jin Jizo when he led his disciples to build Huacheng Temple. There is a Queen's Pagoda base made of stone strips in the square in front of the pool. It is said that after Jin Jizang's mother learned about her son Zhuoxi Jiuhua, she traveled thousands of miles to the mountains to find her son. She missed her son eagerly for a long time, and due to the wind and frost along the way, she was about to go blind. Jinjizang washed his mother's eyes with spring water from a well next to the square and cured her eye disease. Later this well was called Mingyan Spring. Jin Ksitigarbha served his mother attentively and explained Buddhist causes and conditions to her in detail. The mother was finally enlightened and stayed in the mountain to help her children and protect the Buddha. In order to commemorate Jin Qiaojue's mother, later generations built the Empress Pagoda here.
Okay, everyone is taking the cable car with me now to the Min Garden Scenic Area. Why is it called "Min Garden"? It is said that there was a family named Min in the Tang Dynasty. The property was rich, and people living within a hundred miles around it belonged to Min Yuan. When Jin Dizang first came to Jiuhua Mountain, he borrowed land from Duke Min. The story of "a cassock land" has been passed down to this day. Later, Mr. Min and his son converted to Buddhism, and the Min family had no descendants. Therefore, there is no family named Min in Jiuhua Mountain today, but the name Min Yuan has been passed down.
There is the Minyuan Bamboo Sea. There are thick bamboos all over the hills and mountains. Walking into the Bamboo Sea, you will definitely be able to wash away the hustle and bustle of the city and get rid of the troubles of the world. When you come to Minyuan Scenic Area, you have to see this ancient Phoenix pine. It has a history of 1,400 years and the height of the pine is 7.8 meters. The main trunk is flat and has an upturned head, like a phoenix crown; the two branches, one high and one low, resemble phoenix tails. There is a large round stone under the pine tail, known as the "Phoenix Egg". Li Keran, a master of traditional Chinese painting, praised this pine as "the best pine in the world". It is as famous as the Huangshan Welcome Pine.
After visiting the Minyuan Scenic Area, our trip today is over. Today we will take a day off in Jiuhua Mountain and continue to visit the rooftop and flower terrace scenic spots tomorrow. The Tiantai Scenic Area is an alpine tourist area in Mount Jiuhua, with many peaks and rugged rocks. The main scenic spots include the ancient prayer platform, Dapeng Sutra Listening Stone, Ksitigarbha Zen Temple, Tiantai Peak, Shiwang Peak and more than 100 places. It can be said that the scenery changes with each step, and it is colorful.
Huatai Scenic Area is located in high mountains and ridges, without dust and smoke pollution, and maintains its original, simple, pure and fresh natural beauty. Since some of the exquisite, cute, fantastic and dream-like scenery that has just been developed does not yet have a proper name, everyone is warmly welcome to give them a name. I am also grateful to everyone for supporting my work today. If you have any suggestions or comments, please let Xiao Wang know and I will make improvements in time. Thank you.
