In life, he advocates frugality, cherishes blessings and never squanders. Most of the goods provided by the lay man are transferred to believers living in poverty, and he often gives his own money to help poor believers. I wear old clothes that have faded for many years, sleep in old beds that have been painted for decades, eat humble meals, never specialize, and treat people equally and mercifully on weekdays, without any difference. The dharma-protecting layman has no respect for the mage.
