The invitation letter of domestic units or permanent individuals shall be written or printed by the inviter and signed. Invitations can be faxed, mailed or scanned, but not sent by email. When applying for a visa to travel or visit relatives, an invitation letter is sometimes needed. There are two main types of invitations: (1) travel invitations issued by authorized travel units; (2) Invitations from domestic companies, enterprises, institutions or individuals. When an individual in China issues an invitation letter, he/she must provide a copy of his/her personal identity document; ★ The invitation letter must include the following items: ① Personal information of the invitee: name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc. ② Visit information of the invitee: purpose of coming to China, arrival and departure date, place of visit, relationship with the inviting unit or inviter, source of expenses, etc. ③ Information of inviting unit or inviter: name, telephone number, address, unit seal, signature of legal representative or inviter, etc. For other details, please refer to the instructions for obtaining a license.
