The 2006 Doha Asian Games is the 15 Asian Games. It was held in Doha, Qatar from June 2 to 5, 2006. The mascot is Ollie, and 1 100 athletes from 45 countries and regions participated in 423 events.

In June 2000, Doha beat China, Hongkong, Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi and won the right to host the Asian Games. Before the official vote, Hong Kong was considered as the hottest city, while Kuala Lumpur was the second hottest city. However, in the second round of voting, West Asian countries joined forces and unanimously chose Doha, which won more than half of the votes and won directly.

In the Hong Kong film "The Story of McDull", the bid was also animated to express Hong Kong people's disappointment with the animated character McDull.
