1. On the way to Tibet, the altitude in the south of the Sichuan-Tibet line gradually increased, which is conducive to reducing the risk of altitude sickness.

2. The most dangerous section of Sichuan-Tibet line in Sichuan: Ya 'an to Kangding County (Yakang Expressway is under construction).

3. The most dangerous section in the south of the Sichuan-Tibet line: it is located in Rumei Town, Mangkang County, and Rumei Town to Lhasa 10 km is the most dangerous section. The road hangs on a steep slope of 2000-3000 meters, which is very dangerous and horrible. Landslides occurred in several sections on the right, and stones and mud piled up in the right lane, turning the two lanes into one lane. On the left is the Lancang River. The road surface is 800 meters away from the river, even more than 1000 meters. Subgrade collapse occurred in some sections, and several protective railings were damaged or missing. About 100 meter, the right lane is completely occupied by rocks and mud, and only the left lane can pass, but there is no guardrail at all, which scares me out of my wits and causes acrophobia. The driver behind helped me drive this section, and then I slowly moved forward at a speed below 15 km/h. (For example, Rumei Town is 2680 meters above sea level, the water level of Lancang River is lower than 2600 meters, the top of the mountain is about 5500 meters above sea level, and the height difference between water and mountains is about 2000 meters).

8. Altitude data found on the Internet are often misleading. For example, it is meaningless to mark a town (county or city) by its average elevation. We tourists only need to pay attention to the road surface and hotel elevation of a town (county or city) (the elevation of scenic spots can be found online). Therefore, the altitude data indicated in this travel note are all measured by the "GPS status" of the mobile app (road altitude, hotel altitude). In remote locations, the error of altitude data may be tens of meters due to poor cell phone signal, which does not affect the use of data.

9. In Sichuan Province, the accommodation conditions passing through counties are ok, and the quality of service personnel and service quality have reached a certain level. There are gas stations, inns, hotels, restaurants and plateau medicines in the towns along the way.

10. Mangkang County, Zuogong County and basu county in Tibet are dusty. The hotel is very expensive, and the food is expensive and poor. It's just pig food, which is hard to swallow (Zuogong is better, Mangkang is the worst). Mangkang County and basu county are simply "backward savage towns", and there are not many choices for accommodation and catering; Basudora Shenshan Hot Spring Hotel is the best hotel in the county, with a large scale (more than 200 rooms), but it is expensive and the food is like pig food.

12. Linzhi, Tibet is a prefecture-level city with a small scale, but the city looks good, and there are many choices for accommodation, dining and shopping. This is a small civilized city.

13. After arriving in Linzhi, the altitude of roads and hotels has gradually adapted, and dangerous sections have been completed. So, my travel notes only end here.

1. Ya 'an City (600 meters above sea level) →( 196km, 5-6 hours) Kangding County (2480 meters above sea level)

Passing places: tianquan county (elevation 748m), Erlangshan Tunnel in tianquan county (elevation 2 170m, length 4 156m, poor ventilation), Luding (elevation 1330m) and Kangding County (elevation 2480m).

Pavement and driveway: two lanes in both directions, and the pavement is basically good (individual sections collapse, only 1 lane in both directions).

Driving vision: the vision is very poor, there are many sharp corners, and it is difficult to overtake.

Speed range: 25-50 km/h.

Hazard Description: The most dangerous section of G3 18 National Highway in Sichuan (prone to geological disasters, landslides and flying stones). Forced out of the driveway on the cliff, the rock mass is above the roof. It is very dangerous after heavy rain and long rain.

Altitude sickness: The altitude gradually rises, reaching 2480 meters above sea level in Kangding County, which can be adapted by ordinary people, laying a foundation for adapting to the higher altitude behind.

2. Kangding County (2480m above sea level) → (140km for 4 hours) Yajiang County (2600m above sea level)

Location: Zheduo Mountain (4298m above sea level), xinduqiao (3440m above sea level), Bajiaolou Township and Gaoersishan Tunnel (3920m above sea level, 5682m long).

Travel record: Saturday, August 20th 12:30, I started from Kangding County, climbed up the mountainside at 1: 30, and then slowly descended the mountain. After driving for about 30 kilometers, I started winding the mountain road and climbed to the top of the mountain, which is the first mountain pass in Sichuan and Tibet (the stone tablet "bends to the west" and "the first prayer wall in Sichuan and Tibet"), with an altitude of 4200. Then, it began to go downhill, and the altitude continued to drop. Arrive at Yajiang County at 5:00 pm (2600 meters above sea level).

Pavement and driveway: the pavement is good, with two lanes in both directions.

Driving vision: good vision, less sharp bends.

Speed range: 30-60 km/h.

Hazard description: the danger is not great (there is no flying stone, and the probability of collapse is not great), but there is still risk after a long rainstorm.

Altitude sickness: 4298 meters above sea level is just passing by, and the possibility of altitude sickness is lower than that of staying for a long time.

3. Yajiang County (2600 meters above sea level) →( 136km 3 hours) Litang County (4000 meters above sea level)

Passing places: Jianziwanshan Tunnel (4260m above sea level and 2230m long), Kangba Hanzi Village (4300m above sea level), Kangba Hanzi Village Peak Highway (4365m above sea level), Rili Village Service Station (4266m above sea level), Sky City (4320m above sea level) and Honglong Township (41above sea level).

Travel record: At 9: 00 am on Sunday, August 2 1, I started from Yajiang County and drove along the Yanhe Highway at the foot of the mountain for about 25 kilometers, that is, I started Panshan Highway (the first "Tianlu" in Sichuan and Tibet). The car is crawling hard and the power is seriously insufficient. After going up the mountain, the altitude changes very little, and they basically drive on the mountain. Through the Jianziwan Mountain Tunnel (4260m above sea level and 2230m long), there are about100km of alpine grasslands and natural forest farms, which sometimes go uphill and sometimes downhill, and the altitude fluctuates, but they always travel above 4000m above sea level and the highest point is 4450m. Go through Litang Tunnel (elevation 4 145m) and you will reach the county seat. Go down the slope and you will see the Cordyceps Hotel (arrive at 12: 15).

Pavement and driveway: very good, two lanes in both directions.

Driving vision: good vision, less sharp bends.

Speed range: 40-60 km/h.

Hazard description: No danger (there is almost no possibility of landslide unless it rains for a long time).

Altitude sickness: driving at an altitude of 4450 meters for a long time, especially need to guard against altitude sickness! Cordyceps hotel has good accommodation and high cost performance, and free oxygen supply for 24 hours. It is recommended to stay for 2-3 days to help you adapt to the altitude of 4000 meters. )

Special note: the car is also lack of oxygen, so climbing is too difficult, so it must be lowered to 1-2.

4. Litang County (4000m above sea level) → (175km3 hours) Batang County (2555m above sea level).

Passing places: Heni Township (at an altitude of 4,200m), Haizishan (at an altitude of 4,695m), Tianyu Hot Spring (at an altitude of 39 10/0m), Deda Village (at an altitude of 3,688m), Lieyi Tunnel (at an altitude of 3,400m, with a length of 2107m), and Lieyi Township (at an altitude of 3,400m).

Travel record: Depart from Litang County at 10:00 on the morning of Tuesday, August 23rd, and drive along the river at a speed of 100 km/h, with good road surface, excellent view, no sharp bends and slowly rising altitude (almost no downhill). After driving about 15 km, start climbing gently. The altitude drops rapidly by about 500 meters. Starting from the foot of the mountain, the national highway G3 18 winds along the river between the two mountains, and the altitude drops slowly (almost no uphill) until it reaches Batang County (only 2555 meters above sea level). The road conditions are good, but there are many sharp bends, many villages and poor driving vision. Watch out for landslides on both sides during the rainy season in the mountains, and there are flying stones on some sections. Arrive at Batang county around 3:30 pm.

Pavement and driveway: the pavement is good, with two lanes in both directions.

Driving sight: It is divided into two sections with different conditions (see "Driving Record" above).

Speed range: 40- 100 km/h

Hazard description: There are not many dangerous sections (but it is dangerous in rainy season, so be careful of landslides).

Altitude sickness: Compared with the previous two days' journey, the altitude rises very little, so don't worry about altitude sickness.

5. Batang County (2555m above sea level) → (107km for 3 hours) Mangkang County (3890m above sea level).

Passing places: Jinsha River Bridge (at the junction of Sichuan and Tibet, at an altitude of 2,479 meters), Longxiang Checkpoint in Juba (within 0/km from Jinsha River Bridge/KLOC-0, beside Jinsha River), Haitong Military Station (24 km from Mangkang County, at an altitude of 3,542 meters), and Ding Cun in Jiase (0/5 km from Mangkang County/KLOC-0, at an altitude of 3,620 meters, starting from Panshan Mountain).

Travel record: At 4:30 pm on August 23rd (Tuesday), drive about 30 kilometers from Batang County to Tibet, that is, see the Jinsha River Bridge on the Sichuan-Tibet border; After crossing the bridge at 4:30 pm, drive about 1 km, which is the checkpoint of Longxiang in Juba. Further on, about 1km, the subgrade collapses. The river is swift and the mountains on both sides are steep and dangerous. Continue to ascend along the gentle slope of the river (almost no downhill), and the subgrade collapses seriously within the range of about 50km along the way, with almost 1 subgrade collapse every 200m, with an average of more than 5 collapses per km. After Ding Cun's coloring, there are many landslides in the gentle slope section of Panshan Highway. Climb about 8 kilometers, that is, to the top of Zongla Mountain (4 150 meters above sea level), then descend steeply, and the altitude drops rapidly. At the bottom of the mountain is Mangkang County (3,890 meters above sea level). Arrive at Mangkang County at 7:00 pm.

Pavement and driveway: the pavement is good, but the subgrade collapses seriously, with two lanes in both directions.

Driving vision: the vision is not bad, and there are not many sharp bends.

Speed range: 30-40km/h (from the checkpoint to the county seat 7 1km, the checkpoint requires a driving time of at least 2 hours).

Hazard description: Dangerous road sections (many landslides, flying rocks on the mountain, roadbed collapse, absolutely not allowed to drive in rainy season).

Altitude sickness: Don't worry.

6. Mangkang County (3890 meters above sea level) →( 168 km 8 hours) Zuogong County (3780 meters above sea level)

Location: Rumei Town (2679 meters above sea level) and Dongdashan Pass (5008 meters above sea level).

Travel record: Depart from Mangkang County (3,890 meters above sea level) at 8:00 am on Wednesday, August 24th, bid farewell to the mud and dust in the city, skip breakfast (the catering is too expensive and poor), and eat some food carried in the car. Out of the city, start Panshan Highway, drive away from the county seat 10 km, and reach Laowu Mountain (4,376 meters above sea level). The top of the mountain is alpine grassland, and if you don't go further than 1 km, you will go downhill quickly along Panshan Highway. Go down about 10 km, that is, to Kajun Village (elevation 38 10 m). Then it passes through Laowu Village (3,590 meters above sea level), Mei Duo Village (3,490 meters above sea level), Rumei Village (3 140 meters above sea level), Rumei Town Primary School in Riwa Village (2,800 meters above sea level) and Rumei Town Lancang Jiangzhuka Bridge (2,679 meters above sea level). It's kilometers away from Zuogong County 1 10 and 58 kilometers away from Mangkang County. Eat in Rumei Town at noon. There is no public power supply here, and every household uses a diesel generator to generate electricity from 7 pm to 12 pm.

After lunch, start from Rumei Town, drive to Zuogong County, cross the bridge to start Panshan Highway, and drive for about 2 kilometers, that is, enter the most dangerous road section of mankind. It's about 8 kilometers. It's dangerous and scary! On the right is a steep mountain with a height of 800 meters or even 1000 meters. Landslides occur one after another, and stones of different sizes roll down from the mountain, which are not cleaned, piled up or scattered in the right lane. On the left is a cliff 800 meters deep, even exceeding 1000 meters. Many roadbeds collapsed, many guardrails were unusable, many guardrails were destroyed, and many two-lane roads were changed to 65,438+0 lanes (originally two-way lanes). Go further, 25 kilometers away from Rumei Town is the Jueba Mountain Observation Platform (elevation 39 1 1 m), then pass Badeng Village 3520 meters, Wuzong Formation (elevation 4060 meters), Dongda Mountain Cliff (elevation 5008 meters), then get off Panshan Highway and pass Dongda Village (elevation 3930 meters). Arrive at Zuogong County (3780 meters above sea level) around 5 pm.

Pavement and driveway: The pavement is still good (except the most dangerous 8 km section), with two lanes in both directions.

Driving vision: the vision is not the worst, there are many sharp bends and winding mountain roads. Be careful when overtaking!

Speed range:10-60 km/h.

Danger description: For example, 10 km around Meizhen is the most dangerous, and it will never come again in my life (subgrade collapse, landslide, never drive in rainy season, unless it is fatal! The subgrade of Rumei Town to Mangkang County 10 km section is higher than the canyon passage 100 m or even 200 m; The subgrade from 10 km to Zuogong County is 800m higher than the canyon passage, even exceeding1000m).

Altitude sickness: the distance ahead has been adapted, so don't worry about altitude sickness.

7. Zuogong County (3,780m above sea level) →(20 1 km for 6 hours) basu county (3,200m above sea level).

Travel record: On Thursday, August 25th, at 1 1.00, I left Zuogong County (at an altitude of 3,780m) and went upstream along the "Fish Qu" River, and the altitude gradually increased. First pass the top of Changla Mountain (3854 meters above sea level); Drive 37 kilometers to Dreby village (elevation 3930 meters); Drive 43 kilometers to Tiantuo Town (3924 meters above sea level); Drive 106 km to Bonda Town/Bonda Military Station (elevation 3949 meters); After the town of Bonda, we began to climb the mountain. Drive 12 1 km to "Yela Mountain" (4658m above sea level); Then, go downhill quickly, drive 127 km, and reach the observation deck of "Tianlu 72 Turn" (at an altitude of 4300 meters); Drive140km to Toni Village/Gamagou (elevation 3636m); Drive 165km to Nujiang tunnel, turn left after passing through the tunnel, and go upstream along the "cold bending" channel of Nujiang branch, which is 36km away from Basu County. Further on, it is 24 kilometers away from Basu County, namely Hotan Village (2979 meters above sea level); There is still 1 1 km from Basu County, namely Lagen Township (elevation 3 1 10 m); At about 5:30 pm, we will arrive at the Doraemon Hot Spring Hotel in Basu (3200m above sea level), which is about 1km away from the county seat.

Pavement and driveway: The pavement is good, with two lanes in both directions, but the observation deck at the corner from Yelashan to Tianlu No.72 has some pavement damage and potholes.

Driving vision: Before Yela Mountain, the vision is very good; It is not easy to overtake because of the poor vision after crossing the wild Lashan Mountain. The last 30 kilometers have a good view.

Speed range: in front of Yela Mountain, the speed is 60-80 km/h; Then 20-40 km/h; The last 30 kilometers can be 50-60 kilometers per hour.

Hazard description: Before Yela Mountain, it was very safe; It is very dangerous to cross the Wild Lashan Mountain (landslide, individual roadbed collapse, flying stones); The last 30 kilometers are safe.

Altitude sickness: the distance ahead has been adapted, so don't worry about altitude sickness.

8. basu county (3,200m above sea level) →(6 hours 22 1 km) bomi county (2,790m above sea level).

Travel record: On Friday, August 26th, in the morning 10: 10, I left Basu Doraemon Hot Spring Hotel (about 1 km from the county seat) and went up against the "cold bending" river. /kloc-At about 0/0: 20, I met a motorcycle hitting porcelain in Basu County, and it was about 40 minutes late. Drive 33 kilometers to Zhaxize Village (3,800 meters above sea level); Driving 66 kilometers (4404 meters above sea level), deviating from the cold river and starting to climb the mountain; Drive 82 kilometers (4200 meters above sea level) and go down the river; Drive 93km to Ranwu Town (elevation 3915m); Then, follow the "Egong Zangbu" river; Driving to 34 kilometers away from Bomi County (3 100 meters above sea level), the forest began to flourish; It is 38 kilometers away from Bomi County, and it begins to descend along the "Forcing the Dragon to Hide the Cloth" river. All the way to the county is a bad road, which affects driving. Arrive at Bomi County at 6:00 p.m. (2725 meters above sea level).

Road surface and driveway: the road surface above 80 kilometers ahead is good; Starting from Ranwu Town, the road surface is not good, with two lanes in both directions.

Driving vision: the road ahead of 80 kilometers has a good vision; Starting from Ranwu Town, the view is not very good, and there are some sharp bends.

Speed range: the speed of the first 80 kilometers is 60-80 km/h; Starting from Ranwu Town, 40-60 km/h

Hazard description: Drive safely more than 80km ahead; Starting from Ranwu Town, there are many dangerous sections (landslides, flying rocks, roadbed collapse).

Altitude sickness: the distance ahead has been adapted, so don't worry about altitude sickness.

9. bomi county (2790 meters above sea level) →(5 hours and 230 kilometers) Linzhi City (3000 meters above sea level)

Travel record: Depart from Bomi County (2,790 meters above sea level) at 8:30 am on August 28th (Sunday), and start road construction immediately after leaving the city. The journey is slow, about 30 kilometers. 88 kilometers downstream, that is, to Tongmai Town (elevation 2 109 meters); Drive 120km, that is, to La 'er Village (at an altitude of 2360m), drive 157km, that is, to Lulang Town (at an altitude of 3370m183km, to the top of the unknown mountain (at an altitude of 4,562m); Go on for 30 kilometers (continuous downhill), and it is 7 kilometers away from Linzhi City/kloc-0, that is, it reaches Linzhi Town at the foot of the mountain (elevation 30 16 meters). Arrive in Linzhi City at 6:00 p.m. (at an altitude of 3,000 meters), and the whole journey takes 9.5 hours ... (From Tongmai Town, there are still about 70 kilometers of roads under construction. )

Driving vision: the vision is not good, there are many sharp bends, it is not easy to overtake, so you need to drive carefully.

Hazard description: There are not many dangerous sections (from 2065438 to July 2006, Tongmai section has built tunnels and cable-stayed bridges, and Tongmai natural disaster has become history).
