Taste of 2022 Xishe Summer Camp —— Enjoy the taste of midsummer

What is the summer in Yunnan in your mind? Is it cool air, refreshing ice cream, or is it used to drive away the aroma of burning moxa? Everyone's midsummer taste is unique and deeply rooted in their hometown. Xishe is the only villa in the community. Xishe is on every rural land that small campers walk through, and the places that Xishe campers walk through also have their own summer atmosphere. In this summer vacation, we not only read classics, but also explore the natural history of taste, sports and nature with the theme of happy summer taste, lead children into Shan Ye and Woods, and integrate learning plans such as diet design, picture book stories, craft education, sensory games and summer tea party to start a brilliant journey for children to cool off in summer.

Natural aperture: explore the taste of the earth with natural things and sensory games.

? "The trees grow dark in summer, and the balcony reflects the pond" is a poem by Gao Pian, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, which describes the characteristics of long days and short nights in midsummer, and also depicts the moving scenery of swaying light and shadow in midsummer. During this period, the camp will lead children to explore the taste of happiness in natural history and try to activate other senses. The camp will tell children about the nature, art and history of Qujing city in the form of natural movements and picture books, and integrate into sensory games to stimulate children's curiosity and interest in learning the taste of happiness from multiple senses such as vision and hearing.

Delicious hunter: collect flavor components to reflect the lingering summer memories of children.

? Nature is our best teacher. There are not only the ups and downs of natural ecology, but also mathematical materials and examples. We take our children to Shan Ye, fields and fruit forests, and encourage them to explore the natural environment with exquisiteness, pick flowers and plants, do seasonal aesthetics, and collect interesting flavor materials to prepare for future solar food and education courses. For example, mushrooms in the mountains, flowers in the fields and peaches in the fruit forest combine the desire of all children in summer-ice cream to become an interesting course, which can cool the body and mind and turn it into a beautiful learning experience.

Orchard food education: the secret of learning food education and prolonging fruit flavor from farmers' uncles

? Rich in things, how can we make good use of those ingredients that can't be stopped in time? In fact, they are all handed down by the wisdom of our ancestors. Whether it is sun exposure, pickling, sugar stains, oil sealing or air drying, it is a good way to prolong the taste of ingredients. Western society took children to the orchard to collect fruits, such as bayberry and peach, and experienced the life in the orchard with farmers' uncles, touching the texture of fruit trees, the growing soil and the aroma of fruits, and recording what they saw and heard in the form of natural notes. Then I went back to Xishe, preserved the endless fruits in the form of candied fruits, and integrated nature, physics, chemistry and mathematics in the learning process, which is the most enjoyable and unforgettable learning path for knowledge practice.

Summer Tea Party: Creating Love Tea Party with Natural Materials and Learning Achievements

? As a summary of this camp, we invited children to collect what they learned in Xishe, and decorate the theme of summer tea party with interesting materials collected from Shan Ye, fields and fruit forests-decorate the venue with picked summer flowers and plants; Make a green tea party invitation with the picked leaves; Using wormwood collected from the countryside as wormwood dumplings, parents who have been waiting for their children are invited to feel their love for their parents and the practical experience of holidays through tea seats.

In this issue, Xishe Summer Camp leads children to walk in nature, feel the changes of the four seasons in their hometown, record the seasons by scientific observation and sketching, start the sense of smell by local natural ecology and landscape features, and explore the special flavor of nature, such as breeze, Shan Ye, wormwood, bayberry and peach. And create your own sensory adventure map.

I'll wait for you in Xishe!
