Like Wenzhou prose

The teacher said that we are in a period of curiosity. After going to Lanfu Street, I feel that this is absolutely true. I remembered that I happened to see the ancient city of Wenzhou on both sides of the exit when I went up to Lanfu Street. I took a closer look out of curiosity. The more I looked at it, the more interesting it became. Every neighborhood, alley, and well in Wenzhou has its own magical legends.

Wenzhou is also known as Bailu City, an ancient city with a certain history. Guo Pu, a famous Feng Shui master in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, adopted the principles of rivers, mountains, and water for site selection and construction, and designed the East Temple and Nanshi The city layout of , Xiju, and Beibu forms the characteristics of a Jiangnan water city with "flowing water in front of the door, boats tied to households, flowers and willows decorating the banks, and lotus canals fragrant." According to the different orientations of the nine hills inside and outside the city, they were divided into four directions. During the construction of the city, seven city gates were built around it, which are today's "Maxing Gate", "West Gate", "Triangle Gate" and "Xiaonan Gate". Gate", "South Gate", "East Gate", "Double Gate".

There are twenty-eight wells in the city. According to the Feng Shui master, "there are twenty-eight constellations in the sky, and there are twenty-eight wells." According to the position of the constellations in the sky, they are carved according to the mountains, which indicates "the white sky". "Lucheng" is an auspicious omen that lasts forever and has a constant supply of water.

Immortal Well, Alchemy Well, Octagonal Well... Each well has its own unique meaning. Let’s talk about Immortal Well, “Ding Ding Dang, here comes, here comes outside the three-legged door, here comes Come, Gu Laotang, come to the Immortal Well on Songtai Mountain, come to the pig-head clock in Miaoguo Temple, oh come!" This folk song, which is familiar to Wenzhou people, tells the importance of "Twenty-eight Su Wells" in the hearts of Wenzhou people. Various "immortal wells" are located on the top of Songtai Mountain. It is said that Master Sujue of the Tang Dynasty practiced Taoism in Songtai Mountain and drank water from this well all the time. Therefore, later generations named this well "Xianren Well". The outer wall of the well is engraved with the four characters "Songtai Xianjing".

Mochifang, Kanglefang, Sanpaifang, Yanfang and so on in Wenzhou Thirty-sixth Street. Speaking of their stories, they are still classics, such as Yanfang (Yanchi; today's Chengliang Bridge). As early as the Song Dynasty, Sujue Zen Master Yuanji realized this. Whenever there was a clear scene in the early morning or a bright moon night, the poems would rise. In addition, I always play the jade flute by the pond with water as clear as a mirror to express my love. The beautiful music and sweet flute sound attracted flocks of wild geese to come from the sky and surround the pond, listening and being fascinated. This is where the name Yanchi comes from.

Wenzhou is so beautiful that Yang Pan wrote a poem to praise Wenzhou, saying:

"Ode to Wenzhou"

Atop a prosperous sea,

People come and call Little Hangzhou.

The water connects the sun like a chess game, and the mountains surround the painting building like a screen.

There are flowers smiling at me everywhere.

Where there is no moon chasing people around.

The West Lake banquet is about competing for the title.

How many bead curtains cannot be hooked.
