Where did Zheng He go on his voyages to the West? What is the significance?

Most of the places visited by Zheng He during his seven voyages to the West were the same, with only a few places being different. There are two reasons: first, it is related to the weather, waves, and wind direction at the time, because Zheng He's fleet relied on sails, manual steering, compasses, and stars in the sky to control the course, and errors were inevitable; second, Zheng He arranged it this way intentionally. A larger fleet can spread some friendships.

Zheng He visited a total of 37 countries and regions during his seven voyages to the West, including: ① Champa (south of Quy Nhon in present-day Vietnam), ② Java, ③ Old Port, ④ Sumatra, ⑤ A Lu, ⑥ Na Orphan (the above are all in present-day Indonesia), ⑦ Chenla (today’s Cambodia), ⑧ Siam (today’s Thailand), ⑨ Mansika, ⑩ Pahang, (11) Jilandan (the above are all in present-day Malaysia) ), (12) Fanni (today's Brunei), (13) Guli, (14) Kochi, (15) Xiao Gelan (Big Gelan), (16) Saliwani, (17) Kayile, (18) Nanboli (also known as Nanwuli) (all of the above are today's India), (19) Bangla (now Bangladesh), (20) Sulu (now the Philippines), (21) Liushan (now the Maldives) ), (22) Mount Ceylon, (23) Belori (today's Sri Lanka), (24) Khuru Mosi (today's Iran), (25) Zufar (today's Oman), (26) Assa (today's Oman) North Yemen), (27) Adam (all of the above are today's Yemen), (28) Tianfang (today's Mecca, Saudi Arabia), (29) Mugu Dushu, (30) Bamboo Steps, (31) Karawa (all of the above) (today's Somalia), (32) Malin (today's Kenya), (33) Bici, (34) Sunci (all in Mozambique). In addition, historical books also record that the fleet of Zheng He and his deputies visited Zori (also known as Western Zori) (35), Lidai (36), and Gambari (37). Some documents say that Zheng He visited 33 places, and some said that he visited 39 places. There is currently no consensus on which number is more accurate.

If the above-mentioned areas are divided according to current countries, they belong to: Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Brunei, India, Bangladesh, Iran, Yemen, North Yemen, Oman, Saudi Arabia , Somalia, Mozambique and Kenya and other 17 countries.
