Introduction of Dujiangyan Manju Collection, when it was built, when it was destroyed, and its origin.

1993, rebuilt on an auspicious day in September.

According to the existing inscriptions, Qianlong edition and Daoguang edition of Lezhi County Records, Manju Collection was founded in the early Ming Dynasty. In order to promote Buddhism, Ming Chengzu gave Buddhist monks in western countries a gift to the world, and publicized Buddhism to officials, soldiers and people in various governments, prefectures and counties, so that the general public could "listen to their wishes, practice freely, live in harmony with superiors and subordinates, live their own lives, belong to the realm of life and live in peace with the peaceful world." In this way, the court can get the protection of its superiors, and the subordinates can also "persuade the good to change the customs" to benefit the people. Let all the people in the world get the happiness of returning to the pure land. The emperor also asked all localities to "practice whatever they want to achieve positive results, and not regret bullying, causing trouble, and failing to reach my life, they will be punished!"

Manchu Temple flourished in the Qing Dynasty, with hundreds of acres of temples, more than 30 abbots and many eminent monks. At the beginning, he studied under the old monk Chu Shi for more than 30 years. Gui Fang, a great monk who was the eighth abbot of Chengdu Wen Shu Academy, wished to live in Lezhi Manjuji when he was young, retired from the hospital in his later years, returned to his hometown in Lezhi Manjuji, and died and was buried next to Lezhi Manjuji. Gui Fang, the great monk, was born in a poor peasant. He helped people do long-term work and herded cattle since he was a child. He doesn't know a word, but he is honest, kind and has magical power since he was a child. Once, Master asked him to send a letter and bring back a pair of spikes (wooden shoes for rainy days), but he slept by the osmanthus tree at the gate of the temple. A few hours later, someone reported to the master, who traced it down and found that he not only brought a spike, but also said that the letter had been delivered! So Master named him "Gui Fang", which means sweet-scented osmanthus is fragrant and enlightened. While studying in Wen Shu University, Gui Fang insisted on cleaning and reusing the body cleaning tablets used by everyone in the toilet, regardless of dirt and hardships. If sharp edges are found during cleaning, in order to avoid cutting people's skin, Jing personally tries the front with her lips! Its sincere dedication can be described as earth-shattering, making people cry!

Legend has it that Gui Fang insisted on practicing Buddhism according to the method taught by the old abbot. He worships Maitreya every day. After three years of worship, Maitreya Bodhisattva left the altar alive, opening up wisdom for him and being able to give lectures from now on. Although the great monk Gui Fang can't read, he can read a passage written by his disciples. He can speak a paragraph and use it freely, which is very unique. According to "Looking Back" written by Wu Fu, abbot of Chengdu Academy in the 13th year of Tongzhi (1874), in the 21st year of Jiaqing (18 16), the Academy was taken over by "the old monk Gui (the eighth abbot) and the tower was rebuilt. In the eighth year of Xianfeng (1858), he made friends with monk Zhong Yun (the ninth-generation abbot Zhong Yunsheng). " The abbots of many colleges, such as the old monk Kuanlin and Master Zong, have visited Manzuji for many times. Many mages in Wenshu Academy and many believers in Chengdu often go to Manjuji to visit the grave of the great monk Gui Fang during the Qingming Festival and the Spring Festival. This virtue of loving teachers is deeply felt by the world.
