Extended data
The biggest feature of the distribution of intangible cultural heritage is that it is not divorced from the special way of life and production of the nation, and it is a "living" expression of national personality and national aesthetic habits.
It exists on the basis of human beings, with sound, images and skills as the means of expression and word-of-mouth as the cultural chain. It is the most fragile part of "living" culture and its tradition. Therefore, for the inheritance process of intangible cultural heritage, human inheritance is particularly important.
Up to 2009, 26 projects, including Kunqu Opera and Guqin Art, have been selected in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and three projects, such as Qiang Nian and China Wooden Arch Bridge, have been selected in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Urgent Need of Protection, making them the countries with the most selected projects in the world.
