Does a one-day tour of Huangshan require a group tour? Is it easy to get lost in the mountains?
Huangshan is a mountain we like very much. We often come here to climb mountains. When you come to Anhui, you can’t miss this famous mountain. So, should we go with a group or by ourselves? Will you get lost? Next, let’s find out together!
Does a one-day tour of Huangshan require a group tour?
It is not necessary to join a group for a one-day tour of Huangshan. I have reported to the travel agency twice, only to see almost no tour guide on the road. One tour guide was responsible for dozens of people, and I couldn't care less.
Is it easy to get lost in the mountains?
There is only one route up the mountain, and there are obvious signs along the way. It is generally not easy to get lost.
You need to pay attention to the following points when taking a one-day trip to Huangshan:
1. Check the weather forecast in advance, such as the next Moji weather. Note that this is the Huangshan Scenic Area, not the weather in Huangshan District and Huangshan City (Tunxi). It’s best to go up the mountain on a sunny day, because it’s very foggy when it rains, and it’s unfair to spend so much money and not see anything. Moreover, heavy rain, strong wind, and heavy snow are not suitable for boarding due to safety issues.
2. Prepare to go up the mountain. Generally, restaurants on the mountain are very expensive, with a bottle of mineral water costing 20 yuan. If you want to save money, you should bring your own food and water. Recommended hiking necessities: a backpack, two bottles of mineral water, bread, tissues, disposable raincoat (the weather on the mountain is unpredictable, just in case), mobile phone, charging device. Optional items: gloves, thick coat, hiking poles, snacks, fruits, etc. (You can choose according to the actual situation and your own needs, light is the main factor).
3. Plan your time. To be honest, walking the Huangshan route in one day was really stressful. Huangshan is not a mountain with many peaks, and it is not easy to climb up. It is recommended to take the ropeway up and down the mountain, which will save a lot of time and energy. Even if you take the ropeway, it will be very stressful to complete the Huangshan Mountains in one day. Secondly, it is recommended not to stay too long at each attraction. After taking a short break, continue to the next attraction. Climbing Huangshan is really tiring! But the scenery is really beautiful!
4. Try not to travel during the Qingming Festival, May Day and National Day holidays. At peak times, the number of tourists can reach 40,000, and queues start from the foot of the mountain early in the morning. Moreover, the mountain roads in some places in Huangshan are so narrow that only two people are allowed to pass at the same time. Traffic jams are very common on the mountain and more than half of the time is spent waiting in queues. It is no exaggeration to say that it is not possible to sit down and wait for an hour and a half on the mountain ropeway, not even during peak tourist periods.
Advantages and disadvantages of group travel:
Benefits:
1. There is no need to make detailed plans. The tour guide is responsible for and guides the entire process from getting on the bus to buying tickets. If there is an unknown number, call the tour guide.
2. There is only so much that can be summarized. Don’t spray if you don’t like it!
Disadvantages:
1. From a cost perspective, group travel is more expensive than self-driving travel. After all, buses and tour guides from the city to scenic spots are not free.
2. The time limit is dead. From the city to the scenic spot, we boarded the tour bus at 5:40 in the morning and the whole bus arrived at 6:30. Sometimes you have to wait for the tour guide if you walk quickly. After all, the tour guide still has to take care of Man's family, but the cableway fee has already been paid. If you don’t have a ticket and can’t take the ropeway down the mountain, you have to wait. Unless discussed with the tour guide, you can pay for the ropeway ticket down the mountain at your own expense and ask the tour guide to refund the fee to you after the trip.
3. There may be many people going up the mountain. I didn’t see a tour guide all the way up and down the mountain.
Therefore, the editor recommends that you do not sign up for a group tour, or go hiking with friends!
