Economic Development of Longmenshan Town

Longmenshan Town is rich in resources. The territory is located in the upper reaches of the Jianjiang River in the Tuojiang River system and is in the Longmen Mountain fault zone. It has many mountain springs, fast currents, and large drops. It contains tens of thousands of kilowatts of water conservancy resources. It is the best place to build small hydropower. In 2008, the town had built 26 small hydropower stations with a total installed capacity of 10,000 kilowatts, ranking among the top towns in the country and known as the hometown of small hydropower.
