Is the first mountain in Xuyi really the first mountain in the world?
The origin of the name
The first mountain is located on the south bank of Huaihe River, formerly known as Nanshan, also known as Duliang Mountain. In the fourth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1097), Mi Fei went to Lianshui to know the army, from Bianjing (now Kaifeng) to Bianshui south and all the way to Pingchuan. When I entered the Huaihe River, I suddenly saw the wonders of Nanshan, full of poetry: "Luo Jingcheng is still a thousand miles away, and the bow is a green screen. Don't say it's the first mountain in the southeast, write the words "the first mountain" in big letters. Since then, Nanshan has been changed to "the first mountain".
The first mountain has beautiful scenery, accounting for the wonder of rivers and mountains. The forest, springs, pavilions and palaces are exquisite, integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It is a famous historical and cultural mountain.
Beautiful scenery
Xuyi has always been famous for its ten scenic spots. Ten Scenes: the first mountain is nostalgic for the past, the Yan Rui Temple is clear and clear, the apricot garden is in spring, the glass spring soaks in the moon, the Qingfeng Mountain smells the flute, the night bell of the Guishan Temple, the Baoji Mountain is fixed, the words of the meeting pavilion, the Wuta Temple returns to the clouds, and the Eight Immortals Taiwan invites seclusion. The first mountain has six landscapes.
Wu Cheng'en thinks the scenic spots here are comparable to Yingzhou Fairy Mountain in Penglai Fairy Island. In The Journey to the West, he wrote: "The Louguan Peak is towering, the ravines are full of springs and valleys, the rocks are rugged, and the pine trees are towering. There are Yan Rui Temple, Dongyue Temple, Wuxian Temple, Longshan Temple, Zhong Jun Yanyun, Glass Spring, Wutayu, Baxiantai, Xingyuan, Shanguang and trees on the mountain. The dark clouds passed by and the birds were still singing. Talking and laughing, it is beautiful and beautiful, and the fairyland on earth is beautiful.
Yang Wanli, a poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, said: "The first mountain is the first pavilion, and it has never been famous in its life." It's a lifelong regret not to swim the first mountain.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shoushan became a provincial key cultural relics protection unit, and cultural relics and historic sites were gradually restored, including Glass Spring, Xingyuan, Kuixingge, Mi Fei Shushou Mountain Monument and Mingluntang.
inscription
From the early years of the Song and Yuan Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many scholars visited here successively, leaving a large number of inscriptions and plaques, including works by famous artists such as Su Shi, Lu You, Yang Wanli and Mi Fei.
There are still 172 inscriptions on the first mountain in the Qing dynasty, and only 88 cliff stone carvings remain after the census of 1986. There are orthography, cursive script and official seal, and there are poems, words, titles and notes.
Shoushan stele is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.
The first mountain melts Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in one furnace, melts nature and human history, takes the essence of the north and the south, and connects the blood of ancient and modern times. This famous historical and cultural mountain has an eclectic and all-encompassing broad mind.
Confucian culture
1. As early as the Han Dynasty, Kong Anguo, a descendant of Confucius, founded the "Chongsheng Academy" here when he was the magistrate of Linhuai.
2. Confucius Temple
Confucius Temple is a temple dedicated to Confucius, also known as Confucius Temple (Wenxuan Wang Temple). In the 13th year of the Southern Song Dynasty (1 143), Shaoxing was built in the foothills of cishi, and rebuilt in the first foothills in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. For 800 years, it has been abandoned and built repeatedly.
The word "Dacheng Hall" at the door is Kangxi Imperial Book. Mencius praised Confucius' Jin Shengyu Zhen, which is the process of playing music. Playing music begins with ringing the bell (golden sound) and ends with striking the clear (jade vibration), which is a metaphor for Confucius' collection of ancient sages and sages. So this palace-style building is called Dacheng Hall.
The Dacheng Hall of Confucius Temple was destroyed in 1976 and rebuilt in 200 1.
In the center of the hall is a statue of Confucius, with four memorial tablets on both sides and Fu Hui and Shu Ji on the east. In the west, there are Zongsheng Zengshen and Yasheng, and there are twelve philosophers behind them, namely eleven disciples of Confucius and Zhu. When offering sacrifices to Confucius, four partners and twelve philosophers offered sacrifices to Confucius.
There are two temples in Mingluntang, one for entering Germany and the other for studying. This ancient Gong Xue is a part of the Confucius Temple complex, and it was once an imperial college in Sizhou.
Taoist culture
1, kuixing ratio
The three ancient official characters of "Kuixing Pen" were written by the famous Yuxi Taoist, who is the president of the Chinese Taoist Association. In the lower right corner is the statue of Taoist master Zhang Tianshi. Yan Rui is located on the mountainside of Cuiping Peak, the first mountain, and is famous for its quietness. Facing deep valleys, lush forests and detached dust. It has always been a tourist attraction.
Yan Rui Temple was founded by Zhu, the female crown (Taoist) in Song Dynasty. It was destroyed by fire at the end of Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, but it was destroyed by the Cultural Revolution. 200 1 reconstruction.
Since the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Yan Rui has written many famous poems, including 22 cliff carvings. Yan Ruichun was inscribed in the Northern Song Dynasty. The former Longshan Temple is located in Guishan Mountain. Founded in the first year of the Northern Song Dynasty, there are 500 arhats and many monks. The Xiyu Temple was built in the Southern Song Dynasty, and it was named after its location in the border area, also known as the Poetry Buddhist Temple and the Half Temple. The original temple is dedicated to the bronze statue of Guanyin, and the new temple is dedicated to the White Dragon God.
Regrettably, there were many stone carvings on the cliff leading to Xiyu Temple in the past, but now they are all gone, leaving many traces of theft. I wonder where these Mo Bao are now.
There is a poem on the cliff next to the temple, which is well written and inscribed as "I am a good minister" The legend was written by Zhang Fei during the Three Kingdoms period.
On the bank of the Huaihe River opposite the first mountain is the site of the ancient Sizhou city. The world-famous "Oriental Pompeii" is close at hand, only two li away from here. There is also the Ming Zuling buried under water nearby, which has been rediscovered.
Why is the first mountain not high, but it has become a famous cultural mountain visited by many literati and poets?
As Xuyi is an important hub of the Grand Canal, scholars from the south and the north often disembark at Xuyi, where the border and Huaihe River meet. Although the first mountain is not high, it is surrounded by plains. The first mountain looks beautiful on the plain, so the metropolis roams the first mountain without a boat. Coupled with the literati's love to do elegant things, over time, there are many talents in the mountains, and the grand occasion is unprecedented. This mountain has become a world-famous cultural mountain.
