Ciyuan Temple is located in Madian Village, Hengshui Town, Linzhou City, Anyang City, Henan Province. It was built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. According to the Records of Fulin County, "Ciyuan Temple was built in the south of Madian Village in the southeast of the county, during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (AD 627-649)."
