Han Wengong Temple is the earliest existing temple in China to commemorate Han Yu, a writer in the Tang Dynasty. Located on the east bank of the Hanjiang River in the east of the city, under the "Shuangjing Stone" in the middle peak of Bijia Mountain. Bijia Mountain or Dongshan Mountain is also called Hanshan Mountain because of Han Yu. The main building of the Han Temple is divided into two parts, simple and elegant, solemn and solemn. The beams in the temple are covered with plaques inscribed by famous artists, and there are 40 inscriptions along the wall, including calligraphy treasures and precious materials for researching and interviewing literature and history. On May 25th, 2006, as an ancient building in Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Hanwengong Temple was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
