Step into the door
Xiuning has Yun Qi, Guangde has Taiji Cave, and Huizhou has Bagua Village. Tai Chi and Eight Diagrams are the core elements of Taoism.
This gossip village is an important destination of our trip in southern Anhui.
According to reports, Chengkan was built 1800 years ago during the Eastern Han and Three Kingdoms periods. At that time, it was not called Chengkan, and there was a very loud and China name-Longxi.
Later, two brothers, Luo Tianzhen and Luo Tian, from Nanchang, Jiangxi, came here to develop, and according to the Taoist geomantic theory, the village appearance was transformed into a gossip shape, and the village name was changed to Chengkan.
What is the significance of Chengkan? The original meaning of "Cheng" in Shuo Wen Jie Zi is flat. From the perspective of gossip, "Kan" belongs to the western water. On the whole, the real meaning of Chengkan is the flat land in the west of the water. Purple gas comes from the east and inherits from the west. To put it bluntly, it is a peaceful and prosperous place.
The local tour guide has another explanation for the word Chengkan: there are many hurdles in life, which can only be crossed if presented.
This explanation comes down in one continuous line with Chengkan's advertisement, that is, you can travel to Chengkan all your life. It means that when you reach the threshold, you have already crossed all the thresholds and there will be no more bumps. This is all good for Chengkan.
Generally speaking, Zhu's poem "Chengkan Shuangxianli, the first village in Jiangnan" should be the most extreme and domineering.
Zhu's ancestral home is Wuyuan and his ancestral home is Tongan, Fujian. It seems that I have never been an official in Anhui in my life. It is not known whether Cheng Kan has been there, but he is a Taoist (Neo-Confucianism is Taoism), and the word Tao connects him with Cheng Kan. It is not surprising to write such a hymn.
Zhu's understanding of Chengkan probably began with "double saints". Who are the two sages? They are two famous fathers and sons of the Roche family in Chen Kan. Father Luo Ruzhen was an official in the Southern Song Dynasty, a senior official and a university student in Longtuge. His son Luo Yuan was a magistrate in Poyang, a judge in Ganzhou and a magistrate in Ezhou, and was also a local official. In particular, his erudition and expertise in textual research won Zhu's appreciation.
The father and son suffered a fatal failure. Luo Ruzhen once framed Yue Fei as Qin Gui's right-hand man, so that he became a sinner after his death and was cast as one of the first five kneeling statues of Yue Fei Temple in Zhuxian Town.
His son Luo Yuan's official voice is not bad, but because of his father's fault, he has been afraid to enter Yuefei Hall. After thinking about it for a day, I felt that I didn't do anything bad, but I did a lot of good things, so I got up my courage and entered the Yue Temple. Unexpectedly, I suddenly died in front of the statue of Yue Fei. He died young at the age of 48.
It can be seen that this "double saint" is "sick".
Taoists cherish their feathers very much, and this idiom is specially made for them. As the leader of Taoism, Zhu would never have ruined his reputation and made such a poem if he had foreseen that Luo Ruzhen would be nailed to the shame column of later history.
However, the phrase "the first village in the south of the Yangtze River" makes sense, except that "there are two sages in Chengkan". The gossip in the single village is a unique existence. In addition, the "big" of Chengkan Village can be seen everywhere.
There was a square in front of the village entrance, and now it has become a big threshing floor. Red peppers and golden corn, in rows, shine each other in the sun, which is very eye-catching.
I took some photos at the gate, and when I looked back, there was no one around. More than 30 people disappeared like water splashed on the desert.
Drive slowly, and finally find Xu on the Little Square in front of Erdaomen. He sat under a big parasol, basking in his smelly feet. I asked him, where are the others? I was relieved when he said he hadn't come yet.
We waited for a while and saw the tour guide coming with three people from our team. It seems that everyone else got lost on the road.
Since there is a tour guide, follow her, so that you can listen to the explanation without making mistakes.
The tour guide looks very young, as if he is under 20 years old. She took us through two gates and bypassed a big lotus pond, telling us that we were going to enter the village officially. The long road ahead seems to be just the beginning.
This introduction includes eight gossip corridors, a long pavilion across the bridge, a round gate with couplets, which reads "There is no mountain in the world when you visit Huangshan Mountain, and there is no hurdle when you visit Chengkan Mountain", and a group of past lives children sitting on the floor listening to the teacher's story about Chengkan Mountain. All this, whether static or dynamic, implies the theme of traveling to Chengkan.
At the head of the village, the tour guide told us that Chengkan is very large, with more than 700 households and more than 3,000 people; Lane 99, Street 3 in the village, with a complicated route, is like a maze. In the past, foreigners often passed by the village, but when they entered, they couldn't get out, and some simply stopped and settled down. Of course, only those who have the ability and financial resources can stay, otherwise Chengkan people will not take them in.
When I entered the village, I saw streets criss-crossing. If no one leads the way, it's really like breaking into Pantuo Road in Zhujiazhuang without authorization, and you can't get out in circles.
Along the way, the little tour guide introduced us to some characteristic buildings in the village, until she stopped in front of the Roche ancestral temple and told us that her tour guide had finished here and was going back.
She also said that they have a fixed task every day and how many times they have to run back and forth, so that they will have an income of two or three thousand yuan by the end of the month. It seems that it is not easy to be a tour guide.
The full name of this Roche Ancestral Temple is called "Zhen Jing Luoshudong Ancestral Temple". I bought tickets in Chengkan just to see this ancestral hall, and other places are free.
This ancestral temple is "Guoan", which has several obvious characteristics, among which three are the most prominent.
First, unlike the general ancestral halls, they are all clans. This ancestral hall was specially built for Luo himself. Luo was clever since he was a child, but he was a hermit all his life. He works as a farmer and is famous for his articles. The world praised him for his talent of Huang Tingjian and the sage of Ouyang Xiu. Roche's descendants have great respect for him, so there is a special shrine to sacrifice.
Luodongshu Ancestral Temple also embodies the humanistic spirit of advocating farming and reading in Huizhou. Coincidentally, we saw a couplet in front of a "Yirentang" in Xikou ancient residence. The first couplet reads: "Following the true tradition of our ancestors, we are diligent and thrifty"; The bottom line is: "Teach your children and grandchildren to take the right path, only study and only plow". Huizhou people have raised the spirit of farming and reading to the height of benevolence and righteousness, which is the enduring foundation of Huizhou culture.
Secondly, it took nearly 100 years from the start to the completion of Luodong Book, which is unprecedented.
Third, the construction of Luodongshu Temple is illegal from beginning to end. In the early days, there was a faucet on the carved beam, which was yellow in color, which was the characteristic of the royal ancestral hall. Later, these two items were changed, but only on the steps of Baolunge, making "three steps into seven steps", that is, three parallel seven steps.
When we visited, the tour guide pointed to the seven steps and said, according to the rules, the royal ancestral hall is "three steps and nine steps", and the ancestral hall of ordinary people can only be one step and three steps. The official of the imperial court is limited to two steps and five steps, and the three steps and seven steps are obviously greatly exceeded. Besides, Luo has no official position.
Southern Anhui is obviously a place where the mountain is high and the emperor is far away. Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and only went to Suzhou and Hangzhou. It is estimated that the visiting adults are unwilling to go to southern Anhui, which led to the existence of these regulations. The same is true of Xuguo memorial archway in Shexian county. Although it is against my will, it has become the only one in the country.
Whether it is Luo or Luo, these illegal phenomena are ultimately caused by Feng Shui theory, all of which are aimed at raising their own Feng Shui and sheltering future generations.
After coming out of Luodongshu Temple, we soon left the village and finally saw the river as the dividing line between Yin and Yang. The tour guide said that the farmland on the other side of the boundary river is for the sun, and the village on the other side of the boundary river is for the shade.
Standing on the bridge bordering the river, I looked back at the village, but I was a little nostalgic.
At this time, more than 30 people in our team have passed the threshold. I hope I can borrow the good words of Chengkan people, and there will be no ups and downs in the future.
