Why do the seams of toes crack so easily?
The most common condition of cracked toes is actually athlete's foot, which is a common skin disease caused by fungal infection. Patients sweat on their feet when the weather is hot or in winter. It is relatively large and airtight, and will cause obvious cracking and itching. Not all cracked toes are directly related to fungal infections. Some patients may have cracked toes, which may be caused by other diseases, such as skin allergies, eczema, or contact dermatitis.
