When was the Anping Bridge in Jinsha Village, Longhua Town, Xianyou County, Fujian Province built?
Recently, Anping Bridge, a thousand-year-old bridge in Xianyou County, was discovered.
This ancient bridge is located on the Shishi River on the west side of Millennium Zhangshu in Jinsha Village, Longhua Town. Anping Bridge is a stone bridge, more than 60 meters long. It has five piers and a deck width of 2.5 meters. The deck of Anping Bridge is made up of three long stone slabs laid side by side. According to records, there are stone carvings on both ends and sides of the bridge. As time goes on, they no longer exist. Now, for the safety of pedestrians, railings were added later. The two piers in the middle of Anping Bridge stand on the same boulder, and the surface of this cornerstone has been ground into a "V" structure due to the erosion of running water for many years. Looking up from the bottom of the bridge, the bridge has experienced nearly a thousand years of wind and rain baptism, showing its simplicity and vitality. It is still relatively solid and reliable, and can be used for pedestrians to pass normally.
Villager Liu Wanxing told the reporter: "According to county records, the bridge in Anping Bridge, west of Longhua Jinsha, has been built for nearly 1 thousand years, and there are stone tablets and floating stone carvings in the bridge. According to folklore, the second pier in the east is made by gods, so although it is not very neat, it has been safe and sound for nearly a thousand years. " (Reporter Liu Ruyan)
