What is the essence of fortune telling?

I don't know, but there are still many things in this world that science can't explain, believe it or not. I believe in the good, but I don't believe in the bad.

But I did come across an example where a person asked a fortune teller to calculate another person's future life. As a result, the fortune teller said that another person had only three years to live, and in the third year, another person died.

It scares me a little.
