How to adjust the mixing ratio when Xunying has high fuel consumption?

Motorcycle carburetor looks very complicated, but as long as you master some principles, you can try to adjust the motorcycle to the best working condition yourself.

Let's talk about the functions and functions of various parts of the carburetor:

Most motorcycle carburetor passages are controlled by throttle position rather than engine speed. Do remember!

Motorcycles have five main regulating systems. These regulating systems interact. They are: 1. Idle channel; 2. Idle speed measuring hole; 3. Main nozzle and oil needle; 4. Main measuring hole; 5. Block the flow channel.

The idle channel has two adjustable parts. Throttle air screw and idle speed measuring hole.

The air spiral is usually behind or in front of the carburetor.

On the back, it regulates the amount of air entering the throttle system. At this time, the air screw will be screwed in to reduce the amount of air and thicken the mixture. Turning it out will open more channels for air to dilute the mixture.

If it is in the front, it is to adjust the oil supply. The vortex mixture will be diluted and the vortex mixture will be enriched.

When the throttle opening is low, the idle throttle is the component that provides the most fuel. It has a small hole to restrict the flow of fuel. Idle air screw and idle instrument hole mainly affect the vaporization from idle speed to about 1/4 throttle opening.

Oil and main nozzle affect the vaporization of 1/4 to 3/4 throttle opening. The pointer is a long conical rod, which controls the amount of fuel sucked into the carburetor throat. There are many grooves at the top of the needle, and the position of the clamp on the needle can be adjusted up and down to make the mixture thick and thin. The fixture becomes thinner when it moves up and thicker when it moves down.

The main orifice controls the fuel flow from 3/4 throttle opening to full throttle opening.

The choke system is mainly used for cold start, and more fuel is injected into the cylinder to compensate the fuel condensed on the cylinder wall. Once the engine is warmed up, the choke valve must be closed.

Once you know the basic principle, it is very simple to troubleshoot and adjust the carburetor performance.

The first step is to find out at which speed or throttle opening the engine is not working properly.

It must be remembered that the working condition of carburetor is determined by throttle position rather than engine speed. If the engine has problems at low speed (idling to 1/4 throttle opening), the throttle or plunger may be faulty. If there is a problem with the throttle opening between 1/4 and 3/4, then the oil needle and the main nozzle (probably the oil needle) may be faulty. If there is a problem running between 3/4 opening and full throttle, the main throttle is likely to fail.

The second step is to adjust the carburetor. By determining which throttle opening the fault occurred in, we can know which component has a problem, and then make adjustments according to the above description.

How's it going? It's simple. Why not try it quickly after you understand the principle? Adjust more, try to accumulate experience and make your car full of power every day!
