Who is dedicated to Zhengzhou City God Temple?
Ji Xin Huang Cheng, also known as Lord Huang Cheng, is the Taoist god who guards the city. Since the Song Dynasty, the imperial court has ordered all cities to build the Town God Temple, offering the brave people who protect the country and the people everywhere as the God of the Town God. In Zhengzhou City God Temple, Ji Xin, a general of Han and Liu Bang, is enshrined. Because he made an indelible contribution to Han An, later generations built a temple for him to sacrifice, and there were also memorials throughout the ages. Zhengzhou City God Temple, formerly known as Huangchengling Youhou Temple, was built at an unknown time. According to the Records of Zheng County in the Republic of China, since Zhizhou's temple was rebuilt in the 14th year of Hongzhi (150 1), Zhengzhou City God Temple has been built and repaired several times in the past hundreds of years, with a building area of 6,500 square meters. It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient architectural complex in Zhengzhou, and was selected as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
