Is rafting in the Qinling Mountains fun?
The Wenshui River Canyon Rafting in the Qinling Mountains is divided into two sections. The first section is for leisure rafting, from the Upper Pier Tuangche Bay via Baijiaba to the Middle Pier Mayangba, with a total length of about 4.5 kilometers. This section of the river has a wider surface and gentler water flow, making it suitable for rafting by middle-aged people, children and women. The second section is for rafting by passionate warriors, from Mayangba in Zhongpier to Longwangtan through the Leopard Mountain Grand Canyon, with a total length of about 3.5 kilometers. The river surface in this section is narrow, the river flows fast, the drop is large, there are many bays and the water is fast, the river valley is deep and the cliffs are deep, the canyon is beautiful and thrilling, and it is suitable for rafting by young tourists with an adventurous spirit and pursuit of excitement. Rafting instructions
① The rafting period is from April to October every year. Before setting off, you should try to choose simple and easy-to-dry clothes, but not too thin or too light in color. You will be embarrassed if you fall into the water. Bring a set of clean clothes to change when you get off the boat, and a pair of beach sandals to wear on the boat. If you want to participate in rafting when the weather is not high, you can bring your own Raincoat or buy a raincoat at the rafting starting point; if you wear glasses, please find a rubber band to tie your glasses.
② You are not allowed to bring cash, mobile phones, cameras and other valuables on the boat while rafting. If the boat capsizes or other accidents occur, the rafting company and insurance company will not compensate tourists for the lost cash and items; if you feel If you have to bring a camera if you have a rare opportunity, it is best to bring a low-value point-and-shoot camera, wrap it in a plastic bag in advance, open it when you are on a flat beach, wrap it when you cross a dangerous shoal, and be mentally prepared to throw it into the water.
Rafting Tips
① Read the rafting instructions carefully before rafting, follow the boatman's instructions, and wear a life jacket. Tourists are not allowed to get off the boat to swim casually during rafting. When the rafting boat passes through dangerous shoals, follow the boatman's instructions. Command, don't move around casually. You should hold on to the safety rope, tighten your feet, and tilt your body toward the center of the hull. If the boat capsizes, don't panic, just stay calm, because you have a life jacket.
② Cross the dangerous shoal safely. During the rafting process, please pay attention to the arrows and signs along the way. They can help you find the main water channel and alert you to the falling area in advance. Before arriving at the dangerous shoal, you can first predict the general direction of going downstream; then ask everyone to retract their oars, put their feet back into the boat and put them together, hold the rope on the edge of the boat with both hands, keep your body low, do not stand up, and stabilize the boat. If you keep your center of gravity steady, you can usually get through it safely.
③ Rush out of the whirlpool. When the water flow in the river is deep, whirlpools often appear. At this time, you should try to avoid being involved and go around. If you are caught, stay calm and let the boat rotate along the migratory current. When it reaches the outside of the whirlpool, everyone can paddle out with all their strength to get out of the predicament.
④Avoid collisions. Maintaining stability and avoiding collisions are the principles that must be adhered to during rafting. When it is unavoidable, the boat should be controlled at an angle for a frontal collision (a side collision can easily lead to capsizing), and the personnel should hold on to the rope. After the collision, the boat body will be parallel to the shore. At this time, the occupants on this side should pay attention to retract their feet to avoid being pinched. Sometimes the boats will be very close to each other, and in order to avoid collision, both parties must cooperate with each other to paddle in opposite directions or push away the hull.
⑤ Stranded. Where rocks are densely packed, the boat can easily run aground. Don't panic at this time. You can use an oar to push the boat against the rocks and force the boat away from the stranded place. If this trick doesn't work, you need to send someone into the water, pull or push the boat from the side to re-enter the water, and the person pulling the boat needs to be quick-sighted and pay attention to safety.
⑥Falling into the water. If you accidentally fall into the water, don't panic. The buoyancy of the life jacket is enough to hold the person afloat on the water, and the companion on the boat should extend the oar to let the person who falls into the water catch him. If the person who fell into the water is far away from the rubber boat, he must find a way to go ashore or stay on the back surface of the stone (the current on the front surface is strong and he is easily hit by the rubber boat) and wait for rescue.
⑦ Capsize. Capsizing often occurs in areas with fast currents. It is often caused by someone falling into the water, causing the center of gravity of the rubber boat to become unstable. After the boat capsizes, you should stay calm and straighten the boat first; when reboarding, pay attention to the balanced force on both sides. When people on one side climb onto the boat, someone on the other side should hold them down. A dropped paddle must be picked up in time, otherwise you will have to paddle with your hands when reaching the slow flow area. A ruptured air chamber is the worst case scenario. It is necessary to adjust the position of the people on the boat so that no one is sitting in the ruptured air chamber; try to keep the rubber boat stable and wait for rescue by docking. The cost is 150 yuan/person.
