Introduction to attractions in Wanling Ancient Town, Rongchang

The name of Lukong comes from a beautiful folk legend. Legend has it that once upon a time there was an eminent monk named Zhen Ao who traveled all over the world. When we arrived at the Laixi River area, we found that it was a place with strange mountains and rivers, thick forests and deep grass; elk were holding flowers beside the water, birds in the forest were looking at phoenixes, the clear stream was shallow, and fish were playing in the water, which was auspicious. So I stopped wandering around and built a temple in this Feng Shui treasure place to continue practicing. While selecting a site in the high mountains on the coast, he discovered six deep caves. Based on his spiritual wisdom acquired through years of Zen enlightenment, he estimated that these caves were connected to the river. Then he ordered his young monks to pour chaff into these holes to give it a try. Two hours later, chaff appeared in the middle of Laixi River. Later, people called this place "Liukong River" and "Liukong River". Today's word "lukong" evolved from this.
