What's the climate like in Changchun

Changchun's climate is in the transitional zone between the eastern mountainous area and the semi-arid area of the western plain, belonging to the temperate continental humid climate type. Although the east and south are not far from the ocean, the role of summer monsoon is weakened due to the blocking of Changbai Mountain.

The west and north are flat Songliao Plain, and the Siberian polar continental air mass is unobstructed, so the climate is generally characterized by drought and windy in spring, short and warm in summer, obvious temperature difference in autumn and long and cold in winter.
