Qiongkushitai is not only beautiful in scenery and simple in folk customs, but also the starting point of Wusun Ancient Road.
Qiongkushitai village is a very original village, which is developing and improving. Cows, horses, sheep and people are all nearby. The Kurdai River, melted by the snow in the snow-capped mountains, flows in front of the village. The swift river has a large flow, which nourishes the local people and their livestock. With the progress of the times, the village also relies on river water to generate electricity, making life more convenient. Come here to eat local food, see beautiful scenery, or ride a good horse on the grassland. Everything is so primitive and simple, just like the pure land that has never been defiled, which makes people feel so pure, safe and quiet.
On my way here, I saw not only go on road trip, but also many cyclists and hikers. Because Joan Kushitai has two classic hiking routes: one is the Gaoshan Lake to Gaoshan Ranch, and the other is the famous Wusun Ancient Road. If time is limited, you can choose to go to the alpine pasture. This road is easy to walk, and a day's round trip is enough. If the legs and feet are inconvenient, you can choose to ride a horse.
The other is the famous Wusun Ancient Road, which has to be said that Qiongkushitai Village is the starting point of the northern entrance of Wusun Ancient Road. Wusun Ancient Road is located in the north of Junggar Basin and the south of Tarim Oasis. It is the throat that runs through the north and south of Tianshan Mountain in ancient times, and it is also the gathering place of nomadic people in history. In ancient times, there were many passages running through the north and south of Tianshan Mountain, the most famous of which were Wusun Ancient Road and Xiata Ancient Road. The ancient Xiata Road, which we once walked on foot, is famous for its precipitous, rugged and high risk, and now it has become the most ideal passage for hikers. The ancient Shata Road may be cut off because of the snow closure in winter and the surge of the river in summer. Usually a year goes by in about three or four months. Therefore, the Wusun Ancient Road, starting from Qiongkushitai, has become the most commonly used ancient road, which can be used for more than half a year.
It is precisely because of its unique geographical location and strategic thoroughfare that runs through the north and south that it has become a throat area for dynasties and nomads to compete for. Among them, the famous Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty used blood relationship to fight against Xiongnu in order to have a good relationship with Wusun. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the West Turkic controlled the Tianshan Mountains and ruled the Tarim Basin. The Tang Dynasty's voyage to the West and its friendship with the Turks were all realized through the Wusun Ancient Road.
Now, the traffic is very developed. This Wusun ancient road has become a distant past for people, and it has been replaced by a hiking hotline. Although the Wusun ancient road is very dangerous, the scenery in the dangerous place is the most rare. Now Wusun Ancient Road starts from Qiongkushitai Village, spanning more than 20 kilometers from north to south of Tianshan Mountain/KLOC-0, covering grasslands, forests, lakes, snow-capped mountains and glaciers ... It often sees four seasons in one day, so it has become a hiking route for many tourists.
If interested friends can take a walk, the hiking route: Qiongkushitai Village-Bandington Daban-Sukoko River-Paradise Lake-Daban, Akburak-Black Hawk Pass; Hiking time: about six days; Hiking grade: 8.5, which means high intensity, strong risk and strong skills. To cross the canyon, to cross the Tianshan Mountains, to cross the river, to explore the ancient times, to wade across the river, to hike at high altitude. Hikers must be fully prepared psychologically and physically, and can cross under the guidance of experienced guides, so they should do what they can, but the steeper the scenery, the more beautiful it will be, and there will be paradise-like beauty all the way.
